Funnily enough, I was considering rebuying this game yeasterday but didn't, good thing too. Hope its better than the last Dlc. Which was disappointing to say the least. lucky you GTC, like a lot of people I bought the game and most of the dlc at release. So why is a level exclusive to their new disc? Not right if you ask me. You buy the game on release you play it then the DLC comes along you buy it then more comes along and then a limited addition with all the extra DLC plus a bonus mission you can only play if you re-buy the game?
Now that's taking the pi$$.
And games companies wonder why people are stopping buying new games and buying second hand instead. Yeah...i dunno about this.
I was going to go out and buy this game again so i could download the DLC, but then i saw this was coming out with the exclusive Hoth level and thought i would hold on.
But i don't see why they can't release it as DLC as well. I know it's going to prompt some people to buy it, but what if you won it already and just want the Hoth level?

Someone still remembers us hmm? Im glad they are releasing a disc version. I'd much rather have a physical backup of all dlc, plus the new level sounds interesting. They should make a proper sequel as well, that would be awesome. Interestingly, the official Star Wars site listed this as DLC only, and that it will be "available" for PC & Mac, not debuting on them. Unless extra details have come to light since then, this version of the story seems inaccurate.

The big news dropped on the Comic-Con audience by LucasArts came in the form of The Force Unleashed: Ultimate Sith Edition. This Fall LucasArts will release a new downloadable level for the Xbox 360 and the PS3. It re-imagines the Star Wars Saga as if the Secret Apprentice had taken Darth Vader’s place at the Emperor’s side after the events of the original game and is going to let you explore the deepest, darkest side of the Force. The game expands the original The Force Unleashed levels with new levels set on Coruscant and Tatooine, and an all-new level set on Hoth.
It’s a what-if scenario, “the secret apprentice is sent to Hoth with a mission to crush the Rebellion once and for all, and along the way he’s going to come up against Luke Skywalker!” described Shell. The Ultimate Sith Edition will be available on Mac and PC too.

To me, this suggests Hoth is the new level, and that the other missions will use existing levels (though it's been so long since I played TFU that I don't remember Tatooine or Coruscant levels anyway). |
