EA's Peter Moore says that Sony's new motion control tech and MS' Project Natal provide a "huge opportunity" for EA.
"I think they are going to impact us very positively," Moore said of the new controllers. "Anything that uses motion and movement -- obviously sports is incredibly a part of that.

"We have seen both Natal and the motion controller from Sony several months ago, so we're already, in both instances, looking at opportunities to bring our licensed product [and] our fitness product, to these new controller mechanisms. I can't think about anybody better positioned than us to do that," he added.
"If you think about everything everybody's always wanted to do with a sports video game, so much of the feedback you get is, 'I just wish I could' -- as we're starting to do -- "punch and something reacts." So you think of Fight Night: Round 4, for example, if it were in a first-person mode it would be very very cool. So those are the things we're starting to look at. Huge opportunity for us," said Moore.
Which games do you think would work best with the two companies' motion offerings?
so ea havent produced a good game in recent memory eh ?? well u must have a rubbish memory m8 ,, you never heard of dead space ?? not to mention all their sports titles ,, wich are the best about and new original ips coming up , such as dantes inferno
hopefully theyl add some motion control mingames to fifa i would love to see a keepy up game on natal or a ball throwing game on madden also on natal good times indeed
and roll on svd_grasshopper anti-microsoft rant he would have sniffed out this story by now
dont waste tim with ps-crap and sony, the only pariferial ps-crap neeeds is a kick (off a cliff!) great and speciel xbox 360 has better graphics than ps-crap /win
Wow so you cue up SVD_grasshopper and get an xbot fag instead. theres always 1.
Anyway i think that the ps3 things would work best for fight night if its in first person. As it would detect really accurately exactly where your hands are and do perfect movements. Natal would work well in a decent amount of sports games if it does as well as they say it does. I'm still a little skeptical about it but we'll see
still not big on the idea of motion control. It may grow on me but I doubt it. Will see closer the time. Burnout paradise is still among my fave games at the moment. Will keep an eye open and see which one grows on me later.
Al3xbr0wn u dont knos me! i speek the troth. always. if i had ps-crap, id part xchange it 4 a wii (prob have to pay the extra diference tho, cos ps-crap not worth alot £££. i dont have much monies ) haha
EA have not produced a good game in recent memory (unless you enjoy FIFA), so I don't think it's gonna change.
Roll on the party games, EA, like we know you will.
Burnout Paradise.
Though the demo of a Natal-enabled version of the game looked rubbish. Without buttons to properly control acceleration and handbrake it's a non-starter. For driving games Nintendo had the best idea with the Wii Wheel thing for Mario Kart, though that just makes the controller a cheap steering wheel and you can already get proper steering wheels for the 360 and PS3 if you want them.
Hopefully MS and SONY will realise that Motion Control is a specialist controller suitable for niche games. Just like SingStar mics, you wouldn't try and play Killzone 2 with them.

The keepy uppy game sounds like fun, but I have to question the feedback of such a game. It would just be weird if you couldn't feel the ball. Maybe a rumble strip could be added to a body part, in the form of a sticky device? Otherwise it would be pointless.
MS aren't daft and have surely thought about these problems.
Oh dear CVG certainly does attract some morrons wiigodboy and now xboxrulez; now either these truely are blinkered, uneduacated retards or they are purely wind-up merchants who like to push everyones buttons to get a reaction. If it is the former there really is little hope for society.
A-n-y-way.. back on topic...
looking at opportunities to bring our licensed product our fitness product, to these new controller mechanisms.
I knew this would be on the cards, especially when I saw Natal, I thought EA Active full body exercise/areobics capturing.

Again Natal would work well in this game, and I could see FIFA making use of it for penalty taking, or freekicks. @ tmulford - Not sure if SONY's motion control incororates an IR pointer but if it did Killzone 2 would work really well.

They'd have to stick a warning on the rumble strip, 'do not attach to your cock!'. You know it would only be a matter of time until someone like dorian gave it a go.
I stand corrected-the sports games are good (don't play 'em m'self but they are supposedly the best in class). I didn't like dead space though. Ah, well, each to their own. Dante's Inferno looks right up my street, may have to pick that up. Surely, you must admit though- most non-sports EA games are shovelware?
