US retailer GameStop has revealed Assassin's Creed II's pre-order incentive, which sees early bird customers receive a downloadable in-game palace.
"Reserve Assassin's Creed II and receive a GameStop exclusive code to unlock one of the Renaissance's most prestigious monuments, the Palazzo Medici," says the listing.
"You will receive exclusive access to this majestic building, and the freedom to discover the treasure hidden within it's ancient walls."

Which suggests to me if you play the game long enougth you'll get access to this anyway. A bit like EA's Nfs content which 'unlocks' all the performance bundles, which not only is cheating and defeats the point in even buying the game in the first place (unless of course you're into such things!), but unesessary because you will have access to them anyway after playing the game for a bit. What a rip off.
