New Guitar Hero 5 screens

Five rocking in-game snaps
Here are five new screenshots for Guitar Hero 5, featuring rockers, guitars and people bopping their heads, probably.

The new instalment has an interesting drop-in, drop-out party mode with support for any combination of guitars, drums or microphones. And a fat list of new tunes, of course.

It's out later this year.

I hope they dont change the pheriphals too much again. I seem to be building up a stock of plastic instruments in my living room... :?

Same here - I'm definitely not buying any more guitars, but I doubt there'll be any more alterations to those.

Having said that, I've heard that Morrisons will be selling the 'Band in a Box' version of World Tour for £39.99 from Monday - so, I'm tempted to pick up a set of drums and a mic at that price (I could just trade the guitar and game in).

I'll definitely be picking GH5 up - I've not bothered with GH: Metallica and it's unlikely I'll go for GH: Van Halen, but the bands lined up for this look good.

More Queens of the Stone Age! - I'm betting it's 'A Song for the Dead'.

I was expecting some sort of pedal for the guitars myself , I'd be amazed if they don't have some new addition to it so they can take more of our money, good shout with a song for the dead by the way, I've been waiting for that since I got the drums with world tour.

Well, 'Song for the Dead' was rumoured to be on World Tour - plus, it's probably the most likely track that I can think of (there's plenty that I'd rather have personally - mind you, I'd love a GH: QOTSA). There is a QOTSA song on GH: VH, so it'll be interesting to see what they pick out.

I could well imagine pedals being added, but I doubt it's something that many would go for. At the end of the day, they'd most likely add very little and probably just over-complicate things a bit too much....the effects that were added into RB's tone switch weren't exactly great (in fact, I hardly ever used them).

:)
