LBP community levels hit 1 million

Mystery announcement from Media Molecule on August 18
LittleBigPlanet fans have created and uploaded a massive one million levels to the game's servers. Good luck trying to play them all.

And those levels, Media Molecule adds, have been played 244 million times. In total, not each, obviously.

Watch tons of other great game videos in HD over on our video channel!

Dig past the cheating trophy-earning stages and costume distribution platforms that contain no gameplay at all, and you can find some pretty sweet stages - some even cleverer than many of the levels that MM included in the game.

MM also says it has "something interesting to tell you" on August 18 on the PS Blog, so check back for that. Commence "OMG LBP 2!!1" rumours.

Media Molecule put together the video above patting its active community on the back. Take a look.

I now don't need to create some levels - There are plenty of levels to play :)

Well done MM! Roll on 2 million :)

there are indeed some rather clever levels out there. Stumbled across a rather funky Ghostbusters inspired on the other day.

My fave is the Dead Space level. Really clever.

I'd love to design my own levels, but I just don't get the time. If only LBP had come out a few years ago... :(

Outstanding result for a game many gamers are still skeptical about. Roll on LBP 2 (3d mario 64 style worlds editiors would be rather lovely)
