E3: Dirt 2 movie

See Codies new racer inside
Codemasters has passed over the E3 trailer for Dirt 2, which features over 100 events and a dodgy US voice over. Probably, the others did.

Here's some official blurb:

Accompanied by 50 drivers, including Ken Block, Tanner Faust, Dave Mirra and Travis Pastrana, players will take part in 100 events, each partnered with some of the smartest brands around. As players travel to the international each location on the Dirt 2 World Tour, they'll park up at international race festivals that are packed with noise and atmosphere, with hundreds of people in attendance and bands playing live sets on nearby stages.

CVG should use Silverlight for video playback (much more reliable than flash) rather WMP plugin based thing. Also, who ever converts these videos does a lazy job and doesn't give a damn about aspect ratios.

Does anyone else hate the direction they've taken the series to with this installment? The Mcrae games used to be fantastic rallying games that others had to match, but this just looks like a motorsport clone..

Meh. Nevermind.

MotorStorm clone, even.

I'm not too keen on the direction they have gone in, they have Americanised it and it is getting further and further away from the McRae series we know and love. I still think that McRae 4 was the pinnacle of the series the handing model was fantastic. I want a proper point to point rally game not all this buggy and truck crap!! Oh well.
