These charts are always so depressing, if downloads were included as well then I bet we would see much more varied games in the chart and PC games would make an appearance more often as well. Yeah your right Jon. How is COD 4 still in the charts after all this time? In its defence after having a go on the wii version of Half Blood Prince i have to say its not a bad game, On the wii anyway. they really nailed the motion controls. Its not going to win any major awards but its bloody good for a licensed game. Natually as people buy their first/other PS3s/360s or getting a game for PC, COD4 is like one of the god-games of this generation in its popularity online etc, and its a great single-player game on top of that.
No-brainer for Harry Potter top of list. I still find it enjoyable and amoung the top for movie games. Brought the Wii version for my goddaughter for her Bday few days ago, and she loves it. A shame that crappy movie tie-ins continue to sell on their name only while there are tons of better games that deserves sell better Note if you have read the book: watch the movie anyway?
"They left off the good bits out and all the crappy bits in" or whatever that junkie said. You honestly think they'd do every page, by page in the movie?, Yeah 6hour long movie incoming?, Idiot -.-
The reviews are good, I liked it. That's all I care about.
Just don't spread your trap to other people, who actually should go watch it, rather then watching someone rant about how shit or good it is (me included), Go try it people.
Game is shit, no doubt, as all the other movie-tied games are like, Big developers have to pick it up for it even to stand a chance in terms of quality. Oh well, I dont care about the game side. Ahh now that makes sense! Still it just goes to show how much money ActiBlizzard must be making from that series/title to still be in the charts 2 years after release! @KMakawa, if you read the book (as i'm sure you have) you will no doubt be aware that it focuses on voldermorts past which adds background to the character and explain why he is so evil. now if you watch the film you'll notice that it focuses on the ginny/harry, ron/hermoine relationships and completely misses the point of book.
If you don't go and see the film like i suggested, you'll be £6 better off and have your memory of the best book in the series intact yeah the film was really bad this time around compared to book. focused to musch on pleasing a young teen crowd with emphasis on the romance rather than showing the history of voldermorts past and of course harrys relationship with dumbledore & there quest (which was far too short on screen).
started reading the 7th book - a bit more hopefuly now they have split it into 2 films -should have done it since book 3 imo. I agree that they did miss some points out, never said they hadnt. I have to say though David Yates did want to aim it more at the romance subplot, but also to include the darkest parts of the book, Voldemorts history could of been told a little further, I really did enjoy those memory-moments, the CGI was quite impressive.
But you must agree with me on this, is that David Yates has taken the movie-franchise part of Harry Potter, to darker parts, and terrifying parts, and some parts of the movie, it does hit the emotional barrier, Dumbledore/Harry scene anyone?
But what we must always remember is that, the movie is directed to the hardcore fans, and those fans are quite rightly, Teens, and some adults. But most teens, the reason why Harry Potter is such a big hit, everywhere is because every kid out there has always imagined how cool it would be to be a wizard, its just the truth really.
David Yates is taking Harry Potter in the direction that was needed and kudos to him for that, what we are forgetting is that final movie = two parts, enough to describe voldemorts history with the horcruxes in first part, then the buildup to war in final, ..which the actual war will consist of 30mins long, its going to be that good :S
Anyway, peace. I fell asleep in the movie and cried during the book. Guess my vote. I'm sorry but the film was shit. I understand you can never fit all the book in to a 2hr plus movie but leaving parts out in exchange for scenes that never even happened is a joke the whole ending was rubbish why they left out the battle and dumbledore's funeral is beyond me. I cant see how anyone can call themselves fans of the book and still say that this movie is worth watching  KMakawa, i agree and i completely understand that the director had to make it accessible to it's target audience. It probably wasn't even the directors decision to mess with the book as badly as they have in this film. i just wish they'd stop f**king with things to make a few more $'s out of the american audiences.
I hope whoever directs the final two can pull the hacking back a bit and fill in the gaps this film left out. quite a task though Just wait till the WSR juggernaut comes... |
