Avatar marketplace, what sounds like you can only stream movies/TV from them and watch with your friends, with no sharing your already bought movies/whatever with your mates?
Only good thing I saw was that achievement tracking thing. Bought time they bought that back. Where is the info on the Sky agreement, is that not releasing with the next update? the only thing that "screams money" is the Avatar premium downloads. which most people won't bother with, like clothes in Home. its optional and since most people really don't bother with their avatars i don't see it being a big return for them. its just there if you want them, nobodys gonna hold a gold Lancer to your head until you buy one.
and what are you on about with already bought movies? are you meaning ones you've downloaded but not watched yet? or are you talking about ones you've bought on disc? cause that's never gonna happen on any system. i wont say im looking forward too it, last time i did on here someone talked too me like i wasent allowed to like it because he didnt Some nice additions/changes, but what I'd really like to see is:

A web browser
Come back to me when you've done that. aye i'd be happy for no extra gubbins to be added if they could just sort that freezing out. that and loading the download sections a bit faster. "Gold Member Veterans - Xbox LIVE Gold members get to show it off with a stamp on your Gamer Card that tells people how long you've been a Gold member. "
How's that work then? Is mine gonna say I've been a gold member since 2005? Or a only a few days, because I didn't renew my Gold immediately this year, so it officially "expired" as far as they are concerned? :shock:

No offense man, that's more directed at Microsoft for wasting development time on something so pointless. The party reconnection sounds sweet What I've always wanted to see is a larger, and a more regularly updated selection of videos and images of future games on Live. Every day, across many websites, it's possible to see newly released pics and videos of future games but so little of this content ever makes it's way to Live. While I understand that selling crappy Avatar stuff, or overpriced movies can make money, surely for pure marketing, and increasing future game awareness, ramming as much content about upcoming games makes sense!
Oh, and while I've mentioned those shi**y Avatars, the only announcement I care for regarding those poorly designed, incredibly immature cartoons, is a way of turning them off and never seeing them again. Not all 360 owners are kids, or Wii lovers! i think that the xbox is still leading the way in this area with the streaming video's in the Spotlight section of the dashboard. that seems to get updated everyday, i've really been enjoying their Ubisoft stuff. Assassins Creed 2 is looking particularly sweet. Most of these things sound pretty good to me especially Party reconnection, watching movies with mates and general streamlining of the navigation but yeah the dashboard freezing needs to be addressed pronto. I don't care about avatars but some people do so it's good they cater for them.
What I want to know is can you watch any movies with your mates (DVD's, avi's in your video library, ones streaming from your PC via TVersity) or only netflix ones?
Ahh, probably a dumb question. I'll presume the latter.
Btw, Miss_Wacy - I did actually apologize to you for the tone of my response (it was nothing personal) and respected your right to have an opinion. Maybe you never read my follow up. Oh well. A web browswer would be great with full flash etc. Come on microsoft it makes sense! 8) ensabahnur, I hear what you're saying, but by comparison to what's released every day on the net, it's pitiful. On this webiste alone there are several movies and images for upcoming games. Although I've not checked, I'm pretty sure Microsoft haven't a quarter of today's newly available screens and videos of future games.
With regards websites, or email for that matter, it would be excellent to see happen, but I think Microsoft's home PC market could suffer drastically if they incorporated those features. Apart from gaming and perhaps the odd need for to write stuff in Word, I'm not entirely sure why most households need a PC beyond it's email and web surfing capabilities. It's equally astounding to me how the industry ever manages to convince non-gamers that they (or most businesses for that matter) need to change their machines. All I want is for Panzer Dragoon to work past level 3. Apparently according to Ms website it has full compatability, yet it is well known that the Pal version crashes past said level. It shouldnt be on the list Ms. It mentions about buyig items with a debit card.... this is the best thing for me... I don't own a credit card so I don't often buy things on market place (as normally by the time i've gone to the shop to buy points I've decided I didn't really need them!) I've never understood why MS did't support switch/maestro debit cards like the rest of the net! A list of improvements and people are complaining? MS could sit back and do **** all and continue to collect money from us, but they choose to constantly improve their service, even though they are at least 5 years ahead of the competition. |
