Behind the scenes with Trauma Team

New Trauma Centre promises "the ultimate medical entertainment experience"
Why you'd establish and then ditch a well-known title of your game series is beyond us, but that's what Altus has done with Trauma Team - the latest game from the guys who did the brilliant Trauma Centre games. And here's a new behind-the-scenes trailer.

The change of title is indicative of a reboot for the series; instead of playing as a surgeon through the whole game, it broadens the scope allowing you to be a general surgeon, diagnostician, E.M.T., orthopedic surgeon, endoscope technician, and medical examiner.

It's also got a new dynamic story in a hand-drawn anime style, and looks very nice. Spring 2010 is the ETA.

"The medical entertainment experience"

That sounds kinda tacky.

Perhaps, but press releases so often do make products sound tacky by talking them up so much. I think the game could be really interesting - if the diagnostic sections were just as challenging as the old surgery sections (indeed, if every section brought a good challenge to the table), and there should be a lot more variety this time around. Looking forward to trying this one. Hopefully it won't have a huge gap between the US and UK releases like the last TC game.

having to wait a year for new blood was taking the piss. Then again the same thing happened with second opinion. launch game in the us, we get it some 6 months after the consoles release.

Then again is Tales of symphonia 2 out yet over here. installing the Homebrew channel and making my wii region free was the best thing i ever did.
