Resi 5 PC gets a date

And four new screenshots, for your pleasure
Resident Evil 5 for PC will release on September 18 across all European territories, Capcom's confirmed.

The PC version's set to include new costumes, an improved mercenaries mode, three times as many enemies on screen and support for Nvidia's GeForce 3D Vision technology, the publisher says.

With a pair of 3D glasses fans will be able to experience "infected Majini coming at players from every angle, dust flying in and out of screen and the scariest bosses to date are taken up a notch," it says. The PC game also supports Stereoscopic 3D in all of its cut scenes, which is supposedly an industry first.

Four new screenshots can be found below.

That new G-Force Disney movie tie in comes out next Friday and has 3D glasses. So not an industry first...

Ah thank you Mr Capcom. Anyone tried this 3d thingy yet? I dont fancy replacing my 1 1/2 year old monitor just yet. Maybe next year, big ****ing maybe

ps, I've been posting alot today as im off work and bored. Don't worry, I will be much quieter next week

i think they mean by industry first, its £D glasses with games....not disney films

You could invent a machine that beams a player into the mind of chris redfield and lets you see everything right out of his eyeballs. But RE5 would still suck

Not sure if this is a game or a tech demo for pc who cares if it runs at 120+ fps the console ones looked just as good and probably will not sell half as well. In fairness 90% of people have bought it already and played it to death (or to the point they dont want to anymore). The costumes look pretty good though but may end up as DLC for console versions. Having completed xbox and ps3 version (plat trophy for ps3). I don't think I'll be getting pc version (borrowed xbox version btw didnt buy both)

I couldn't care less about those fancy-smancy glasses that let's you see "the dust floating across the screen" at the current asking price. Nice. I can do that without those glasses; it only requires I not dust nor vacuum for a few days....Back to the game itself, I'd rather play this PC version of RE5 than the console version based on the comments I've read about that one. It'll look better, cost less, have more things going on in the game simultaneously and maybe the controls will be a tad better. One can hope at any rate. I'll be keeping an eye on this one.

Thanks for the links. I got 46 fps average on 4xAA, everything High, 1680x1050 and direct X 10 on my 8800GT with Q6600.

Side note the guy playing the demo was awful and its so funny how the zombies run up then slow right down when they get close. Always heard people talking about it but boy does it stand out. Is it worth buying this on PC or just renting on PS3?

heres hoping that the game has been configured to be playable with a keyboard and mouse.
