SCEE's head of developer relations, Zeno Colaço, has confirmed that a new section of the PS Store that focuses on "snackable" games and applications for the PSP in on the way, to tackle the threat posed by Apple's fast-growing App Store.
Confirming previous reports, Colaço said: "We're introducing new initiatives for the PSP which take it beyond traditional gaming, but still includes elements from gaming, and also includes new developers," said Colaço, confirming Sony has over 50 studios already working on games and apps for the new initiative.

These are to be sold via a new, "specially branded" area of the PS Store for the PSP and PSP Go, according to Develop.
"It is still a professional environment, you still need a development kit and you still need to have investment and a team," he told the site. "But it can be a small team. We don't see any of the restrictions on the disc-based space being in this space."
Users can expect "snackable" games as small as 20MBs in size, he teases.

im actualy comming arround to this. when they first announced the price i was mighty pissed, but if they release that software that allows you to transfer UMD games over to the go's flash memory than i might get one. but only if i can convert my old UMDs over, if i cant than forget it. if they think im paying again for a game ive already bought theve got another thing comming. the last thing we need is another M$
