Electronic Entertainment Design and Research analyst Jesse Divnich believes Take-Two will show in fiscal 2010 that it has more tricks up its sleeve than just Grand Theft Auto.
Last night's decision to delay BioShock 2 until the first half of calendar year 2010 means that the game will release alongside Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption and Mafia II during the business year beginning November 1.
"The news of BioShock 2 being delayed into fiscal 2010 has drastically changed my view on Take-Two," said Divnich. "I originally anticipated that Take-Two would outperform the industry in fiscal 2010. Now, I expect them to dominate fiscal 2010.

"BioShock 2, Max Payne 3, Red Dead Redemption, Mafia II, additional Grand Theft Auto downloadable content (DLC), and the possible launch of Agent should make fiscal 2010 the year of Take-Two. Next year, Take-Two will prove to the videogame industry they are more than just a one game publisher (referring to Grand Theft Auto).
"Take-Two has made a very intrepid move by putting gamers before investors, an act most publishers wouldn't usually consider, and even though investors are likely to punish Take-Two for this delay, we as gamers should reward them for their persistence on improving game quality over meeting financial expectations. As far as I am concerned, Take-Two is just moving numbers from one financial year to another."
Take-Two chairman Strauss Zelnick previously set a target of five million BioShock 2 sales, noting that the game could help drive profitability in the absence of a "1,000-pound gorilla" Grand Theft Auto release.
I'd love to see more details on 'The Agent', possibly a video or some screenshots. I wonder if they will show anything this side of xmas? It could potentially make as big a splash as GTAIII did - still my favourite GTA game, only because it was a fresh experience.
So, I suppose Take-Two could pwn 2010. However, there are some other cracking looking games out next year too.
We probably had a feeling they would dominate 2010. After all they are releasing a tonne of good games and after all of the Christmas rush too. I for one will be saving hetically for all of their releases!
basically The Agent is going to be GTA in the 70's with more action.....its going to be fantastic, how ever i assume that because of the Agent there wont be much info on a GTA for a couple of years maybe.
Mafia 2 is my choice of their lineup for next year. Like others have said though, they won't have it too easy. Bioshock 2 sounds like it's having an identity crisis and gamer reactions to Max Payne have been split.
I kind of don't think Agent will see a 2010 release. Nothing at all has been seen or heard of it besides it's announcement at E3. Of all the games that are coming out of Take Two's houses I am most looking forward to Red Dead Redemption and Mafia 2 for next year. I look forward to seeing more on the Agent, the new DLC for GTA, and hopefully something interesting about Max Payne 3 which looks very meh so far
I agree with Bioshock 2... not really interested in it.
bioshock is s**te for me. not interested in red dead either, and even max payne is looking s**te. no doubt it should play better than its looking as the other two games were great. just looks wank with the baldy c**t and tropical settings.
agent will more than make up for all this though. made by rockstar north too
i can see that being a major system seller. and they already have a great engine with GTA. just tweak it little. dont think a late 2010 release is too optimistic.

Just curious but what is it that you don't like about red dead? Or Mafia 2 for that matter?
As I said yesterday, the delay for Bioshock just screams financial reasons more than anything else.
By moving it into the next fiscal year, the money they get from it boosts next years financial statements.
It's not exactly an uncommon practice for companies to strategically move things around like this to give what would in essence be a false improvement to a particular periods results. It's just a bit of window dressing.
I suppose your first reason could be somewhat valid... but your second. Are you really this stupid? So you write off an entire game because you don't like just one weapon that is in that game? And for no apparent reason might I add. If you went on to say that you're father was shot down before you by a man with a tommy gun, then maybe this would make sense.
I think you will find Take two that Nintendo may well just match you in fiscal terms, dominate i don't think so,best of the rest possibly,a lot of arrogance sums up the people that buy these games,i admit there have been quite spells for nintendo. That is only because they got good games in development

Just because a game is widely accepted to be a great/good game does not necessarily mean it is in fact a great/good game. Sometimes people just don't get things and they don't have to back up their view with something such as evidence or reason. If you don't realise this...
that makes you stupid.
I believe there is logic and reason behind everything. It would be wonderful if things like the judicial system worked on your logic though. When people come up with an opinion it is based off of something, or at least I would hope so. Instead of blind prejudices. I would think that that would make some one "stupid". Not liking one gun in a game being reason enough to write it off is nonsensical. Not liking the entire setting that permeates from the entire game makes much more sense. A gun you can opt not to use. The setting will be there the entire time. If you couldn't sit through a movie such as Good Fellas, then you probably wont care for Mafia 2.
