At least we saw actual gameplay of AW at E3 and got a more 'definite' release :wink: Probably a wise move - not to mention the fact that MAG is out too.
I don't think that there is ever a good time to release a new IP, especially in the next 12 months. Not only are Mass Effect 2 and Alan Wake going to be massive hits, but GOWIII and GT5 will be vying for big sales too.
I'd put Singularity in the Heavy Rain camp, i.e, it looks really good but could struggle to make a big splash.
It's on my radar at least as I like the look of it. Seems a bit different to the norm. for a moment there i fought it said modern warfare 2 delayed, youd of seen a grown woman cry haha I can't wait for winter to come along, the line up of games is simply awesome. Modern warfare 2 is going to be the best damn FPS of the last ten years. Nice one, thanks modern warfare.

get a proper new SOF game out! My anticipation and excitement level for Modern Warfare is, er, nil. :D I just laugh at these FPSs, trying to get a piece of the market. They're up against real heavyweights like COD and... COD. Even when a FPS tries to be different - Shellshock 2, the one set in Vietnam, they end up being either pathetically rubbish, or just a poor mans COD. COD rules the FPS market, there's no getting away from it. A bit sad really, I like many different FPSs, but COD is just swallowing everything up before it like a particularly hungry vaccum cleaner. |
