First glimpse of Halo: Reach?

Animation leaks on to YouTube
Supposed animation work for recently-announced Halo spin-off, Halo: Reach has leaked on to the internet.

The footage (uncovered by Skoar) is stamped with the name of Will Christiansen, who according to his own online CV is currently working at Bungie on the project.

The video shows a UNSC soldier beating the be-Jesus out of a lowly Jackal, as well as Christiansen's other work on Lair and various games.

Adding fuel to the flames, Christiansen quickly removed the footage from his LinkedIn profile - but here it is on YouTube anyway. You can't beat the internet...

Watch tons of other great game videos in HD over on our video channel!

It goes without saying that the Halo animation is a bit bare bones at the moment and if true will probably look quite different in the final game. To see the official Reach teaser in HD, click this 'ere link.

Impressive. Let's hope Reach turns out better than Lair!

Can't help but think Halo's going to be milked so much it'll eventually end up as every type of game, first the shooter, then the sequels... then the strategy game... maybe a fighting game, Tekkon style... then an RPG, a levels game... this thing is going run on and on! If your a Halo fan you might as well set up a direct debit for all the money they get out of you!!!

I honestly don't understand this attitude. There have only been 4 Halo games released over the last 8 years - the only one that wasn't an FPS was developed by one of the most respected RTS devs in the industry. ODST is just an expansion, but one that introduces a number of new features to the franchise, such as the sandbox city - and it's not even full price.

Lets compare that with CoD, for example. 6 full games (7 if you include Big Red One) in 6 years. Now if anyone needs a direct debit set up, it's CoD fans if you ask me.

Um....how many Final Fantasy games have there been? I don't care how many Halo themed games they make, if they are up to the same standard as what has gone before then bring it on! I'd like the idea of a Halo RPG outsourced to say....Bethesda...sweet!

@altitude2k

Yes, it IS a full-priced game. Didn't read the news?
