Syphon Filter 5, Socom 4 on the way?

Digital content creation firm lists titles on its website, internet goes mental
A digital content creation company that has provided dialogue, music and other content for some of the biggest game out has slapped Syphon Filter 5 and Socom 4 in a list of its projects.

PCB Productions has SF5 listed as in development at Sony's Bend studio, and it's to provide facial motion capture for the game. There's no info for Socom 4 other than it's "in development", although neither titles have been officially announced.

PCB has provided content for games like Bioshock, much of the Call of Duty series, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter 1 and 2 and others big-'uns, so for these titles to appear on its site certainly raises an eyebrow.

Sony is yet to respond to our enquiries, but we have however just got confirmation from Ubisoft that the site's listing for Red Steel on Xbox 360 and PS2, is utterly false. So the list could be full of mistakes.

We've still got our fingers crossed, though, because a PS3 Syphon Filter could be cool.

Syphon Filter on PS3 would be cool and would probably make up for the loss of not having the new Splinter Cell.

How has this series made its 5th installment, it hardly the best series out there is it. SF 1 was ok, but since then..not so much.

There were two outing on the PSP which were very good, think there was two on the PS2 or one on the PS1 & one on the PS2 but which ever it was a new one would be No.5.
Hope it true, a full blown on on the PS3 would be great.

thats pretty sweet news!

there were 3 syphon games on PS1 as far as I know 1 on PS2 not sure if there are 1 or 2 on psp.

That said I have not cared for either series they have always been outdone by other titles in their genre's.

And comparing a Syphon game to Splinter cell...well there is no comparison Fisher pisses all over it from a great height.

splinter cell is genius! cant wait hopes it true!

and

Richyrich316, splinter cell was a different console generation of game so shut it!
Posted by Sleepaphobic
+ they are totally different kinds of games. duh
Posted by Richyrich316
Well firstly Mark made the comparison originally in his post so why not tell him to shut it.

Secondly There has been Syphon games released on PS2 which is the same gen as when Splinter cell started as all the previous splinters have appeared on PS2 so it is in the same gen duh!

And the types of game are not that different aswhen syphon filter was originally released people compared it to MGS & Goldeneye.

So that makes you wrong on all counts thank you very much.

And games are games it does not matter which "gen" they are Example MGS 1 is still the best of the series so far especially the cube twin snakes version, Revenge of Shinobi on the old Megadrive is still a lot better IMO than some of the new action games released today.

syphon filter 5 would be ****ing awesome.
i was posotive they were going to announce it this year at E3 than was dumbfounded when they dident.
i dont understand why its taking them so long it has to be in production.
it was one of their most popular titles for ps1.
logans shadow and dark mirror are by far the best psp titles its mind boggling sony hasent brought their own halo to the ps3 yet.
mayb there waiting to get there big hitters out, 50 bucks says this will be there next big hitter after GOW3.
hopefully they will announce it by E3 2010.
and hopefully criterion will announce black 2 by then also.
black is the best FPS i cant believe they still havent announced a sequal

Im looking forward to this, I remembering reading in a mag eariler this year or last year that there was a PS3 Syphon Filter coming late next year.

Had all the games execpt Combat Ops on PSP, wish I still had them.

oh dear god yes!
the 1st one is still one of the most badass shooters out there.
think criterion has said they will do 1 but dont think they have started production yet.
if i could have 1 game the id take black 2 over god of war or any game for that matter right now.
