VC Hanabi festival next month

More previously Japan-only titles headed for UK Virtual Console in July
Virtual Console fans can expect Nintendo to host its fourth Hanabi festival next month, during which time retro games previously never released in UK make their debut over here via Nintendo's download service.

Two titles, Bomberman '94 from Hudson and Detana Twinbee from Konami, have turned up on the official Virtual Console list of upcoming downloads sporting the distinctive Hanabi logo, both with July release dates.

No other titles are officially confirmed, but as Nintendolife notes, several other previously unreleased games have been spotted on OFLC or PEGI ratings boards listings in recent months. Those include Kirby's Dream Land 3 and Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen on SNES, Musha, Pulseman and Shanghai II on Megadrive, and Smash Ping Pong and Zoda's Revenge on NES.

Previous Hanabi festivals saw stunners such as Super Mario RPG and Sin and Punishment finally get their long-overdue outing for UK gamers. Fingers crossed next month will bring a few more surprises.

Would be nice to see people moving on rather than living in the gaming dark ages. A bit like crusty ravers who live in late 80s - annoying.

@ will7476. It'd be nice if you posted something that made sense. It looks like you tried to take a shot at the Wii and didnt think about it before hand, because that comment makes you look a bit silly.

People play new games as well as the older "classic" titles. But just cause they are old doesnt mean they arent still good. You cant be a real gamer as you'd know this.

Your movie collection must be rubbish by the way, only having movies from 2009 because apparently to "move on", you cant look at anything in the past. I could only imagine a teenager making such a remark who's main focus is on shiny graphics.

PTG - it would be nice if you could not take everything too seriously you crusty old gamer you.
