Reports from various individuals, boards, commissions, entities and task forces are included in the Convention Workbook and in the various editions of Today’s Business. In these reports, highlights of the work of the Lord accomplished through the many and various organizations and individuals of the Synod are shared. These reports provide opportunity to “ponder anew what the Almighty can do.”
At the convention, greetings are delivered by the presidents of the Synod’s two auxiliary organizations, the International Lutheran Laymen’s League and the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League, as well other key organizations with whom the LCMS cooperates in mission and ministry.
Special reports are often delivered at the convention, especially upon special occasions or anniversaries. This year special recognition was afforded the LCMS Foundation upon its 50th anniversary and the 1000th colloquy student to enroll in the CUENet program, which was approved by prior convention, was recognized.
