Fellowship

Fellowship2004.jpgFellowship in the church is created and maintained by the Holy Spirit – we are the body of Christ. Simultaneously, interpersonal relationships are a natural and nurtured offspring of that which the Spirit has created. The convention becomes a place where delegates and others, often renew, or make anew, friendships. In Lutheran fashion this is often over a meal or other social time as allowed in the convention schedule. To foster this atmosphere of family and friends a special “All-Delegate Meal” was planned for Saturday night, July 14, following the opening worship service. At the setting in Houston, a Texas-style meal with BBQ and the fixins was served. Special music from The Oak Wilt Boys, a band comprised of professors and staff from Concordia University in Austin, completed the meal setting with their brand of Gospel and other musical offerings.
