Castle Crashers gets a million players

Frantic four-player XBLA title, Castle Crashers, has blasted past the one million players mark to "become the fastest growing XBLA game in history," according to developer The Behemoth.

This milestone has been achieved in under a year, the game having launched in August 2008. The side-scrolling beat-'em-up was last year's bestselling Xbox Live Arcade title.

Castle Crashers lead artist, Dan Paladin, is chuffed. "This is really big news," he said. "Less than ten months after the game's release I have witnessed 1,000,000 of my friends on the Castle Crashers leaderboards."
