I will be buying. "Seeing my hot dog reflected exactly on screen was amazing! I loved how I could apply tomato sauce and mustard just like in real life! The precision was remarkable and I found I really had to concentrate to ensure I wasn't dripping any on my shirt. I was particularly impressed with how the controller emulated my favourate fast food item, and it totally fooled my dog!" All they're saying is how impressed they are by how the immersion is increased by Motion+ which I can fully understand, particularly in sporting games/sims.
If Natal genuinely improves and moves this experience onto the next level, then I can't wait to see what Rare et al have got in the pipeline!! I'm convinced that this game is going to turn out a hell of a lot better than 'real' gamers are giving it credit for. - I'd buy it for the jet ski and air sport events alone. You can even take your little aeroplane on a laid-back sightseeing tour of the island, like a spiritual successor to Pilotwing's Birdman. Well just like no ones been able to make a better motion controlled bowling or tennis game on the Wii than whats in Wii Sports, Sports Resort will most likely make the best use of the motion+ in a similar way. @Palancas7: Hey, he's lucky. I only know about Rugby.
Surely Shane Williams would be able to offer a comment on how good the table tennis is? Or perhaps it's high time Brian O'Driscall sung the praises of MotionPlus basket ball...?
More on-topic, I do think these guys are spot on, whether or not their as famous as Nintendo seem to think. They've all been paid! Nintendo have money to burn now and you know how they love celebrity endorsement. It would have held a bit more weight if one of the paid for 'stars' hadn't said the "graphics are great too", it looks just Wii sports and the graphics are still poo. |
