ArmA 2 videos are impressive

Germans break PCs showing off ultra-realistic war game
The PC-loving German's have gotten their hands on 505 Game's ArmA 2 ahead of the rest of the world. Here are some videos of them breaking their PCs with the stupid amount of tanks, soldier and helicopters on screen.

Head over to the ArmA II launch website.

The game, considered the spiritual successor to the ultra-realistic Operation Flashpoint series (developer Bohemia Interactive Studio did the original), is out in the UK this Friday, followed by North America later in the month.

You can read about it here, and look for the review shortly.

Thanks Kotaku.

Ok, my hat's off to Bohemia on this one. That looks pretty cool - makes me want to buy the game. Three possible concerns however:

1) As the excellent videos are testament to, it can be entirely possible to spend a good part of the time running around and not encountering any hostiles (this is realistic, especially with aerial strike units, mechanized infantry and armored units moving much faster than infantry on foot).

2) The first ArmA game was apparently bug-ridden. Does ArmA 2 follow this trend since it may have been rushed to get some distance between itself and OpsFlash: Dragon Rising?

3) What sort of DRM, if any, does ArmA 2 come with?

yeah this is more my cup of tea, i prefer the wait and tactics involved before going into a battle. None of this spawn kill die, spawn kill die of COD4.

I believe there is some bugs at the moment, however the recent 1.01 patch that the germans got recently sorted alot of them out.And if there is bugs still about im sure they will get sorted.Good thing about Bohemia in the past is they are a company that actually care about their gaming community and are more focused on that than making money.
