Why will they never learn?
(AC2 will be one of the Games im picking up though, Day 1 purchase for me) I hated the first game so i am probably just going to wait to see what the reviews have to say about it before i make my mind up. Yeah StoneCold, this year I had to buy Fallout 3, Gears of War 2 and Dead Space around 6 months after they were released.
This year I think I'll be buying Bioshock 2 and Splinter Cell: Conviction (I miss Sam) on day one and leave Assassin's Creed II, Halo 3: ODST and Modern Warfare 2 until later.
But then I'll have to get Alan Wake and Mass Effect 2 too sometime in 2010.
And let's not forget all the other games I will be getting like Red Faction: Geurrilla, Batman: Arkham Asylum, Dead Rising 2 etc etc etc...
Haha, so many games in so little time and I have so little money. On the plus side, by shifting your personal games line-up timeline so that it's behind the curve, it should offer you the possibility of buying many of the games you want later on at lower prices. Sure, you don't get to play it on release but you get a better chance to see what pitfalls and bugs a game may have, there's a greater chance that any patches it may need are released, you proceed at your own pace and not the one dictated by the companies and it will likely be easier on your wallet. A trade-off well worth it in my opinion in general though there are some games I will pick up upon release (and with pre-orders even then it's often possible to save a nice bit of cash). Win-win situation. 8) Little Moth don't forget about paying for any DLC with thse games as well. Gaming is becoming an expensive hobby. . . . . VALVE. I don't buy DLC, unless they release it on disc, like R* will be doing with the GTA IV DLC, which I will be buying. Not the best market move, considering so many big games are clouding the november lineup. Especially when MW2 is in the same week I think?, oh well. ill have to spend an hour or so in the store trying to decide which I want.. yet again. MW2 vs. AC2? In my opinion there's no contest: MW2 wins hands down! (Note: This opinion of mine is based entirely of what I know and/or have experienced from the first two games, along with existing details and video clips of the second two games.) Modern warfare and assassins creed were released at the same time in 2007 and I bought them both. Looks like the sequals will be released toegther too, and I'll also buy them together. Good point - if I recall correctly, the first AC dropped in price faster than a lead balloon...hopefully this one will too.
:) I certainly hope so. This is the one I'm putting on the backburner for after ODST and MW2. I do want to play this one though! I enjoyed the first one, for the most part, and it will be interesting to see how the improvements they've made will improve on the sound theory of the first game! ye im gona agree and say that MW2 is for the win, im a little put off by how crap AC1 actually was, I think a rent out of AC2 is in order before I purchase it, if I even do buy it! »
Me too - I've no doubts that UbiSoft have taken note of the criticisms the first game recieved and have rectified them. After all, the game looked great and obviously had a good engine behind it - so, it's literally just the repetitive missions that need to be corrected.
Also, the team behind AC2 is 3 times the size of the first...from 150 people to 450.
:) like anyone is really excited about this release. no hype at all this could end in tears. Isn't MW2 coming out roughy at the same time? I know l4d2 is coming out that day and if they both equally desireable, it could get quite murderous.
But we'll see. |
