New releases topple Wii Fit

UFC 2009: Undisputed, Pokemon Platinum and EA Sports Active take the top three UK chart spots
THQ's mixed martial arts game UFC 2009: Undisputed has shot to number one on the UK all formats chart.

The Xbox 360 version generated 52 percent of total sales, and the PS3 version the remainder.

Fellow new entries Pokemon Platinum and EA Sports Active entered in second and third respectively, knocking serial bestseller Wii Fit down to fourth place.

The week's other new releases were less successful. Capcom's Bionic Commando entered at No14, THQ's Big Family Games at No30 and Codemasters' Damnation at No35. Meanwhile Punch-Out completely failed to make the top 40, only debuting in seventh place on the Wii chart.

Here's the top ten rundown, courtesy of stat cruncher GfK Chart-Track.

  1. UFC 2009: Undisputed (THQ)
  2. Pokémon Platinum (Nintendo)
  3. EA Sports Active (EA)
  4. Wii Fit (Nintendo)
  5. FIFA 2009 (EA)
  6. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (Activision Blizzard)
  7. Wii Play (Nintendo)
  8. Mario Kart Wii (Nintendo)
  9. My Fitness Coach (Ubisoft)
  10. Call Of Duty: World At War (Activision Blizzard)
