Just Add Water teases PS3 E3 reveal

UK developer jumps on the countdown bandwagon
If you've not got a countdown on your website then your game's a nobody. Splinter Cell: Conviction, Assassin's Creed 2 and even Hideo Kojima have becomes masters of the tease. So to, has UK indie studio Just Add Water.

The UK developer recently began work on its first major PlayStation 3 project and a countdown has appeared on the dev's website that points to an E3 reveal.

The countdown ends at 20:30pm (BST) on June 2, which going by our E3 plan of events is right around the time of the Sony press conference. All we know about the title is that it's a retro style game.

The studio is also working on "various other projects on other platforms". Check back over the E3 week (June 1-5) for the full reveal.

Give 'em a chance first, eh?

What I'd do is have a site that changed over time to reflect the game you're about to announce. That way, fans will be able to feel superior by guessing it first while everyone else will be wondering what's going on until the last minute.

A bit of background one day, a figure appearing the next, a bit of texturing, a silhouette. Numeric countdowns are so last-gen :)

The Kojima countdown is already getting on my nerves. By the time the game gets revealed (MGS5 with Raiden as the main protagonist), I won't actually care.

*hands over a few pennies* that's it, you're not getting any more change than that. :P

Nice idea, but what would actually happen is the first bar steward to figure it out would post it all over the net... and then shortly thereafter everyone and their pet rabbit would know. :P

I have to agree with elfeyes. Just Add Water can be abreviated to JAW which I will also be using to yawn with. If we know nothing, why should we care?

Well, we do know that it's supposed to be a "retro" title which personally puts me far more off than the acronym of the studio name (JAW)...And is a good reason to bring out a ferocious yawn I might add!
