PSP music store in the pipeline?

Sony said to be considering offering PSP owners access to tunes via PSN
Sony's reportedly held early talks with music bigwigs about providing content for a PSP music store.

The store would allow for music downloads via PSN. PS3 owners are set to get access to a video-on-demand music service later in the year, so wouldn't it make sense just to let PSP owners access that upon launch?

Speaking to CNET, which was informed of Sony's secret talks by music industry sources, Wedbush Morgan analyst Michael Pachter said: "This makes total sense that Sony would try to get content for the device. If Sony is smart, they would manage it the same way iTunes has and be device-agnostic. Whatever you get on a Sony site should play on an iPod as well."
