Darkwaknight the numbers are a clock that is counting down to the time the info is revealed. Maybe nothing, but the countdown ends on the day of the MS press conference at E3. people with a ps3. Well, E3 and Kojima's countdown are not far away so we'll just wait and see.
Hope they make a new and much better mgs title.
But most of all I'd love it if konami would give a multiplayer addition to whatever the title will be that's a lot less of a hassle than today's Metal Gear Online... To me that looks more like an S than a 5 but as my PC blew up at the weekend I am viewing on a crappy laptop.

The final announcement is coming on June 1st, at the same time as the Microsoft E3 conference. One of two announcements specific to 360. i like to play on an even playing field. old coughing spluttering snake cant even jump. raiden is cheap. Whilst I would be happy to see the 360 get a version of MGS4/5, I wouldn't jump to conclusions because of the date. It could just be the date of a Konami/Kojima speech and merely be a coincidence.

and anyway, forget it. unless they are going to make the next game INFERIOR to MGS4, 360 cant have it. unless its just the 360 version thats gimped. Well, if it is MGS5, I hope it's multiplatform. More like Konami can only make money from MGS and PES games and hardly nothing else. That Rock 'Revolution' has been getting panned so its not gonna help them in any way...
That is, if this is an MGS game I would say this is definitely an MGS game. Snake was in the original poster. Kojima said a while back that he wouldn't remake the Metal Gear Games. However, if a company approached him to do it, he'd let them. (Such as what happened with Twin Snakes). I'd love it too, it would complete the wstory for me as I can't play through the Metal Gear games...
And as for people getting excited about trophies...why!?! They're trophies. I'd love a new game, I'd love DLC. But to think all this is about trhopies, or get excited by them?
Metal Gear Raiden would be good. Either DLC or a full game, doesn't bother me which. you'd be complaining if the new MGS never had trophies ya mug.

If it's gonna be MGS5 (MG Raiden or w/e), then I'd guess it's going to be multiplatform, definitely not a 360 exclusive, that wouldn't make any sense since all the hardcore MGS fans are PS3 users.
And I don't give a damn about it being multiplatform, I'd get it on the PS3 anyway since I like it a lot more than xbox.
Now, if it's gonna be Substence/Subsistence/Lolstance/whatever version of MGS4, then it might be a 360 exclusive (but I doubt that, more like a multiplatfrom like MGS2) but I really don't think MGS4 will make it to X360 in any form, MGS5 probably will.
And guess what! Like with any other multiplat game, both versions are gonna be basically the same. HA! :lol: Kojima-yes

i love all the MGS games,but i dont want a 5th,i thought number 4 ended well and tied up a lot of loose ends
but yes,i would rather play these games on the 360(that's just me)..so i would love to see MGS4:substance whatever for both PS3 and 360

@Grasshopper even MGS4 was too much for PS3 as you had to install each act,apparently i have heard that that MGS4 was the same amount of infomation as Lost Odyssey...i wouldnt mind 4 discs for a 360 version
i take 10 second swapping discs over 10 minute installs any day :lol:

You know, I've played MGS4 around half a dozen times, and not once have I felt the need to whine about lack of trophies. Would they be easy to put in? Yes, probably. But my enjoyment of the game certainly wouldn't go up if it had trophies, so couldn't give a shit. »

Of course xbox would be able to handle MGS4, both Xbox and PS3 can handle the new CryEngine 3 (even when they said that consoles wouldn't be able to handle Crysis) which is by far more advanced than the MGS4 engine. You see, it's all about optimization.
So yea, xbox is capable of handling MGS4 without being gimped, so there. Learn to live with that. :lol:
Aaaah fanboys, gotta love them. :lol: The installs between acts were like 2-3 minutes, so stop exaggerating.
As for me, I HATE disc swapping, so I'll take the installs any day. I'm even using no-cd patches on my original PC games.
Lost Odyssey was great, but swapping those 4 dvds was a pain the ass. Sounds like something a lazy fat person would say! May I suggest Wii Fit

Why people think that only fat people are lazy? I don't really have fat friends and even then most of them are lazy f**ks like me. :p im more skinny than fat, and i despise disc changing. if a game has a PSN version, i buy it just so i dont need to bother with the disc.

MGS4, initial game install is 8 mins and 2 mins for every new chapter.
its 33GB, so thats 4 DVD's. that alone ****ed the 360 over regarding a MGS4 release. yes but Lost Odyssey was 4 DVDs..and no problems there
and i am sure the Act installs were longer than 2 minutes,i remember Snake puffing on that smoke for ages...god that was so lame I'd take the disc swapping. **** the two minute installs. Hideo just loves to tease. :shock: Considering the fact that my 500GB HDD for my PS3 arrived last Friday for 92,-eur (incl. tax) I'll say that I don't really care about installs eating my hdd space anymore :p
I must say, changing the PS3 hdd was way easier and more comfortable than changing my PC HDDs, that actually surprised me tbh. i borrowed mgs4 this weekend and put it in my ps3 on saturday, played it for about 3 hrs and got as far as where that flying dude and doctor octopus rip off and a few others show up and cane that bulldozer and soldiers, and ive got to say whilst i didnt think the game was gash, i didnt think it was amazing either, why do the cut scenes need to be so long as well???? Is this your first MGS game? Because that's what MGS games are, hybrid between a game and a movie.
And to answer your question: because Kojima wants it that way. :P nah, played and completed mgs2 (sons of libert?), i just think the cutscenes are really unnecesarily long, adds nothing to the game for me, in fact id go as far as sayinb its more of an irritant... theres a start button.
you press it and the cut scenes magically disappear.

on mgs2 i seem to remember it was either circle or square and ive been tapping away at them everytime theres a cutscene and been driven bonkers having to wait, didnt even think about pressing start, nice one, maybe ill enjoy the game a lot more now...... :wink: Here whe go :roll: ...
Watch E3...Thats what I recon...Some big announcements this year from Sony and Nintendo. why did niether M$ and sony not think of puttin a multi-changer in there machines? Tools!!! because sony didnt need it.

Raiden called himself Lightning at the end of MGS4. His words were.."Raiden is dead, I am Lightning now."
I loved Raiden. I thought he was a little bit naive in The Big Shell incident..but he was the typical uninformed, lied to, used..soldier. Plus he was green as they come. He was endearing all the same.
There are rumors that Sunny will be in this new one...if Sunny is in it..Otocan will be in it. If Otocan will be in it, Snake will have to be in it. Its convincing at first but closer look you can see its photshop just an image of raiden put on a background and opacity decresed. very basic stuff "/ so is it 13 hrs then until the number 4 appears on the screen?
