Not so sure about the game but I'm really hoping the film is good- the trailer I watched however, tells you the entire story (as awesome as the trailer is). Hopefully it won't be a T3 fiasco- Salvation is supposed to be a gritty, realistic affair (kinda like the first film but with a much bigger budget), or so the conceptual art book says.
Can't. Wait. Graphics and lighting look [pretty sweet, Tried and trusted cover system by the looks of it, I think its got a lot more promise than most movie tie ins, but it will probably be a bit of well polished 3rd person shooter, with nothing much other than the story of Terminator to bring to the table, so...not too exciting but not terrible, not by a long shot i bet! I agree with Ginja. This looks like it could turn out to be quite a nicely polished FPS. Will it be genre-breaking? I doubt it, but it may be a solid, fun "blast 'em 'n bag 'em" shooter which I find myself in the mood for lately before diving in to what promises to be an epic RPG experience with BioWare's upcoming "DA:O". I agree i think this looks visually brilliant, though rumours suggest its only about 4 hours long!! and as much as i love the terminator series i hate the games which have you shooting hundreds of terminators blowing them to bits even though bullets hardly effect them.
As for the film, well it looks great....but i always feel if they use a big mega star like christian bale then the whole john connor character isnt as good, i think they should of used a nobody to play the role, so we dont know that person from any other film. I also feel they should stop going for the bigger audiences and give the terminator films the 18 certificate back like the original Red Dwarf fan by any chance? I like it how they tried to mimic the third movie trailer, music and all.

I think I'll take my chances with the movie though. :wink: Well spotted that man... Red Dwarf was awesome, though the new episodes on Dave were pretty awful.

Yeah for me the first 4-5 series were unbeatable, after that it went right downhill in my opinion.
I have not watched any in years but a lot of the funny quotes still remain in memory. 8) |
