Share this article: Digg.comFacebookGoogle BookmarksN4GGamerblipsdel.icio.usRedditSlashdot.orgStumbleUpon It's not too far off actually going out of the front door and actually playing tennis. why would we need to replicate something like this? games are games. nice but whats with the ps2 skin textures we got big bulging over the top vains on the players arms on ps3 yet wii gets blank blank skin textures HD has nothing to do with this its just lazy texturing the graphics are sound and close to x360/ps3 but blatant penny pinching on the wii continues to hamper games
BUT SOME DETAIL ON THOSE TENNIS PLAYERS FOOOOORRRR FUK SAKE SEGA STOP MARKETING GRAPHICS ON PS3 AND X360 AS HD
A DETAIL IN A ARM TEXTURE DOES NOT REQUIRE HD STOP THIS BULL SHIT Do I have to live in a branch of IKEA and jump about like a cock to play this? You said it adgr19. Totally agree.
If I'm actually going to swing my arms around to hit a tennis ball in a game, I think it would be more rewarding, more fun, and obviously better exercise to get out and play the game for real. Each to their own I suppose. well you cant please everyone they want there games to look realistic but not play realistic im sure your aware you dont play tennis in real life or anything else with a joypad. You can also say that folk who buy stearing wheels to get out in there cars. Exactly dangermouseuk78, you're right! Since Wii has made games play more realistic people are saying "go out and play it for real". Load of nonsense. It's a game, just like those on Xbox 360 and Ps3, except this plays differently. Maybe you're a lot luckier than me, but i can't step outside my home and onto a tennis court. Plus, sometimes it happens to be raining, plus maybe i have no friends. Entirely agree, my friends wouldnt enjoy trecking 2 hours to play a few games of tennis only to treck 2 hours back again. Get in the room and play it, without any weather problems too.
ps; i dont own a wii, I think they are the work of the devil (shoddy graphics), but yes. entirely agree. Why use a steering wheel in a driving game, a plastic drum kit, guitar, or mic in a music game, a balance board in a skiing game, a wii remote in a golf game, the upcoming REAL board in the new Tony Hawk's game, a plastic gun in a shooting game?
Just go outside jump in your Ferrari, speed through the streets of LA avoiding cops, or get your rally car out the garage and take on the elite on the real courses. Learn a real instrument, form a band and play some big festivals and stadiums. Call Tiger on your cell phone for a few rounds at St Andrews. Pop to your local snowy mountain or jump on your deck and grind through your city whilst pulling off 180 spins and sick jumps! Or get a real gun and go shoot some terrorists, zombies, aliens.
Get real people, performing similar actions to real life just imerses you further in the experience, but they are still games. They alow you to compete against the stars, drive race cars, rally cars, expensive sports cars, go to locations and stadiums you'd never play at unless you were the best of the best in that field. Gaming is about fun and escapism. |
