I'm glad that they are taking their time with it. The Splinter Cell series is one of my favorite ones of all time and I would not like it to go downhill.

Nevermind- after the averageness that was Double Agent, I'm kinda glad they're really looking into this one. Chaos Theory and Thief are my favourite stealth 'em ups ever!

Thief series are my fave stealth games. Garrett is just so likeable and you care about him. It's odd how Double Agent is my least favourite SC game, but the XBox version which is completely differen is my second fave SC game Confused

I'm playing through Thief: Deadly Shadows right now on my 360. It's pretty good but I am finding it a bit tedious and somewhat repetitive and it's also hard to figure out where the hell i'm supposed to be going. CS is way better.

Just stick at it. The story and Garrett are far more involving then any Splinter Cell one. You have to be extra patient too as Garrett isn't so hot on the fisticuffs etc.

I figured they went back to the drawing board to make it using the newest version of UE3 instead of whatever engine they were planning on.

The new crowd system in UE3 would really help make Conviction's streets look busier without drawing too much from the hardware.

I had high hopes for this game, despite never having played any Splinter Cell's before. I liked the idea of having to disappear into crowds, because I used to do this a lot myself as a kid (it drove my mother nuts).

Do not buy Ikaruga! You will internally combust!

I really enjoyed Thief 3, especially the spooky level. It will leave you with some great memories.

My take on the delay is that I think the developers got a bit too carried away with the crowd related gameplay, instead of focusing on what SC games are all about.

I'm pretty sure they said the point of Conviction was to change what SC games are all about. That's why (like in 99% of Double Agent) they ditched the night vision goggles and most of the gadgets.

TBH i was never ecstatic over the decision to go down that whole crowd road, a simple Chaos theory type spy/stealth game would make me happy.

Why do you care that a 360 title gets delayed if you don't like the 360?

Wierd.

How come Splinter Cells delay to 2010 isn't bad news but GT 5 delay to 2010 is a disaster?

I think this is bad news, something serious must have happened for the publisher to delay it so much.

Because GT has been in development for god knows how many years already and the racing genre is a heavily contested one.

I cant think of many games that are similar to splinter cell.

Oh right, a real shortage of stealth games on the market then? Are you sure its not just because one is a PS3 exclusive and the other is an Xbox360 exclusive?
