who's watching and paying for all those game-to-movie or movie-to-game turds? I was horrified when I saw that this morning. He's just wrong for the part on so many levels. I can see him maybe as Dom, but not Marcus. Do i feck.
I want,Arnold,Bruce Lee,Chuck Norris,Jean Claude Van Damme,Rambo,John Mclane vs the Horde. :lol: how about John Cena, i hear he's a shit actor too!! ;) It's not going to make the film any worse than it's clearly going to be... so go for it! You have no idea, just watch that WWE movie The Marine and see for yourself. well, it would be in-keeping with the OTT cheesiness of the game.. No Steven Seagal?

For the BioShock movie we'll probably get Johnny Depp, erasing the story to fit people who have been too lazy to PLAY the game. And do you think that Andrew Ryan will be playing a part? Probably a REALLY bad movie.

MARCUS AIN'T SENISTIVE!! Nah, I just can't see The Rock as Marcus, like said above he is more suited to a support character role like Dom, Baird, or Carmine. :lol: Gerard Butler. He probably wouldn't touch it, but he'd be my choice if you were making it into a good film... No no no no no no no nono no... NO! Hell yeah, walking tall shows his ability as an action actor and look at something like grid iron gang and you can see that he has genuine acting ability!

There's only one badass mofo who'd pull this off IMO. Mickey Rourke. His acting in Sin City, not to mention The Wrestler, puts him right at the top, and he's buff enough and looks like he's been through hell ten times over. Pretty much like Marcus Phoenix.
The Rock is just wrong btw. Go MICKEY ROURKE! Gears of war movie........ fail...... Fenix should be played by the guy who plays Hellboy, he's got the size, he has the voice and he's a decent actor. I think the rock would definately make a good dom, but i really can't see him being any good as marcus.
I think the actor that plays cole in the game should definatley be the same in the film tho. He's GREAT! No no no no no no no nono no... NO! WHAT THE HELL. **** off! Games should never be made into films. They've tried, they've failed now just leave it alone. Sort out your game Epic b4 you start making crappy films!!!!!!!!!!!! Lets wait till we see it, hope for the best expect the worst. O The Rock is good at what he does and has some watchable films under his belt but I don't think he should be Fenix. He looks too 'nice' and doesnn't have that gritty look Fenix has. Same goes for his voice too.. Marcus, no. Some people have suggested him for Dom....hell no - he's the one that will require the better acting of the duo.
But how's how's this for consideration - Tai? Is this what you plan to do when you start school or something. Sorry Stonecold, but i actually hav the Marine, and it is utter pants. maybe its just my view but its not exactly an award winning performance so i dont know how u can use it to defend him. plus u did put the WWE bit in urself which answers why it was pants. :twisted: i do like the idea of Mickey Rourke, good call for that one. Providing the movie aint shite Mickey Rourke as Marcus with Rock as Dom, that would be a good combo for me. Seconded. If the Rock was to play any character I'd see him as Cole-Train
Domonic Purcell would be really good as Marcus, he shows very little emotion but you can tell there is something soft underneath if you want ot see how bad games into films go then watch the halo film like clip

Seriously this guy does not get Gears of War, its not a game about deep emotions or subtle nuances, its a game about chainsawing some dude in half and screaming "eff-yeah!" The Rock - Hell Yeah

The Latest Bond - Yeah Sam Worthington out of Terminator Salvation would be ace as Marcus, he has the gravelly voice and he looks the part for the role.
I also think that while he may be a bit too old for it Mickey Rourke would be good as marcus as well. Kinda the wrong type of guy, but I don't care anyway I think the movie will be boring no matter what.
I just want the Halo movie back on track that could be really interesting. If their looking for shit actors then they should jus get Mirko 'cro cop' to do some shit acting and some head kicking lol. the rock is at least a half decent actor and he didn't do too bad a job in doom. Granted the marine from doom has no character and fenix does.
Personally i'd go the following.
Fenix - Ron Pealman
Dom - Temuera Morrison
Baird - Steve Buccemi
Cole - Ice Cube
It might not be a bad movie, it's being made by the right studio and they've had the foresight to bring the guys who created the games on board.
Also when the bioshcok movie finally surfaces it'll be great because its already abundantly clear that gore verbinski has played the game and is also an awesome director. The fact that they've tried to curb him spending on the film shows that he understands what a massive undertaking this is going to be. MODERN GAMES ARE SO MOVIELIKE WHATS THE POINT IN MAKING A MOVIE? oops damn caps, well cant be assed to do it again, anyways, gears has a very weak hinted at story (the 1st one) where it was obviously cut to pieces probably due to time constraints or executive meddling, you could elaborate on that which could make it mildly intresting, and marcus is sensitive, hes just a bit badass , personally i just gears "the space marine adventures of wolverine" and to be honest the only way to get a reasonable marcus or wolverine onscreen would be to make some kind of mutated clone of clint eastwood **** it, yeah I wan't to see him in it, it would be funny as hell. If they are going to make a really gash Gears movie, may aswell have somebody with some comedic timing in it. Although I'd rather he just go off and continue to make standard okayish fun movies. the best felix would be nick chinlund (the bad guy in con air who found cages bunny in the box before caged off'd him), thers a pic of him, bandana and all, on imdb, ps. PS3 still better than xbox 360 lol sorry purists i meant fenix lol Rock in GOW movie?
Hell yeah! I want in the Rock to be in EVERY movie, GOW or otherwise.
In fact, they should start remaking every film every made by anyone and make the Rock as the lead role!
