Create a Constitution in a Day

It’s true! You can frame a NEW Lutheran constitution—one that streamlines your congregation’s ability to implement current and new ministries—in just ONE day!

ABOUT MISSIONFLEX
For More Information

Is your congregation hampered by a complex, inflexible constitution? Many existing constitutions and bylaws are rigid and inflexible, based on church organizational structures that don’t work in today’s changing cultural environment.

MissionFlex provides congregations a solution. In one day, the entire congregation makes the 10 fundamental decisions needed for the constitution, and small discussion groups are guided through the major decisions needed for the bylaws.

The entire process is led by a Lutheran facilitator trained and skilled in organization leadership.

Learn how you can streamline the revision of your church constitution to make it easier for your congregation to respond to new ministry opportunities and create strategic plans. Complete our contact us form or call 1-800-843-5233 between 7:45 a.m. - 4:15 p.m., CT, Monday through Friday.

LCMS Church 30 Years in the Making

For 30 years or more, LCMS has tried to start a church in Grove, Okla., one of the fastest growing retirement communities in the country. Happily, this year the congregation of Immanuel Lutheran broke ground for a new church! Lutherans in this area have held a constant faith they could build a church, and now are doing just that, with the help of Capital Funding Services and an LCEF loan.

SMP Working With Redeemer Lutheran Church, Las Vegas, Nevada

The pastor at Redeemer said the great thing about SMP is that the lay people continually focus on their "best understanding of God's calling and plan" for them. If they are having a meeting and decisions are being made, someone in the group will usually call attention to their SMP and say, "Remember our plan. Is this decision a part of our plan? Is this the direction that God's calling and plan for us is pointing?"

Young Congregation Defining Its Mission

Frederick, Colo. is located north of Denver and attracts many young families with children. However, until recently, there were no LCMS churches in the community. Pastor Jeremy Jacoby and his wife Julie were looking to plant a church in the northern Denver area and used an LCEF demographic study to assist in the process. The new church, Family of Christ, began in 2007, and the congregation has since used the demographic information to send out mailings to introduce the community to this new church. Membership is growing, so the congregation is using Strategic Ministry Planning to further define its mission.

Open Arms Provides Anchor for Families’ Lives

Building an Open Arms Child Development Center in Gainesville, Fla., the congregation at First Lutheran has opened a place that promises to be a neighborhood anchor, not just a day care for children.

With the help of LCEF’s Strategic Ministry Planning (SMP) service, the congregation developed a better understanding of God’s calling and set a comprehensive plan for the future. A capital campaign helped support the congregation’s new mission, and LCEF partnered with the congregation for the construction loan.

New Services Support Church Functionality, Vitality

LCEF is committed to the ministry of building strong churches—and not just in a physical sense. We’re here to help church membership grow in spirit, mission, and membership.

There are two new workshops your congregation may wish to use: Building and Believing Workshop, a weekend of renewal in which congregations select a noted LCMS clergy to lead the discussions; and MissionFlex, a one-day workshop for creating a flexible constitution.

Do Your Meetings Need Focus?

LCEF’s Stategic Ministry Planning can bring efficiency to you. Does your church, school or agency spend time considering questions about land, facilities, staffing, programs, or money without a unified foundation for decision-making? See your leaders work more efficiently without stress or burnout and your boards and committees become more focused-with shorter, more productive meetings.

LCEF's Strategic Ministry Planning (SMP) helps your organization make decisions based on God's priorities for you and your ministry.

Do You Know Your Mission Field?

LCEF’s Demographic and Mailing Services offers your congregation or organization up-to-date population data and resources to help you understand and reach the households in your surrounding community. Our Demographic Services can help you define your mission and reach your community.

Think this is the wrong time to build? Think again.

Take advantage of lower construction costs. Now could be the perfect time to build! Not only are contractors eager for work, but LCEF's Laborers For Christ can help lower construction costs even more. Learn more about LCEF's Laborers For Christ.

Seize the opportunity to build with a low-cost LCEF loan. Whether you are needing commercial loan assistance to build, remodel or purchase equipment for your church, LCEF provides low-cost loans to build space and place to help fulfill God's mission.
