Joyful Response® for Congregations

With the Joyful Response® Electronic Offering Program, congregations have the ability to offer members an automated method of meeting their members’ financial stewardship commitments through electronic funds transfers. This free service allows direct contributions from a member’s personal account to the church’s LCEF StewardAccount®, an easy access savings investment. Several designated church funds can be credited through a single transfer from a member’s account.

Joyful Response® for Schools

The Joyful Response® Electronic Tuition Payment Program allows families to make tuition payments electronically. LCMS preschool, elementary, secondary, or university/seminary programs can offer this safe and convenient method of electronic funds transfer. This tuition payment program is simple, allowing direct, electronic payments from personal accounts to the school’s LCEF StewardAccount.

Joyful Response® for LCMS Ministries

Through the Joyful Response® Electronic Donation Program, LCMS ministries can now give their donors a safe and easy method of completing their donation commitments. Utilizing LCEF’s StewardAccount, ministries will receive deposits from a donor’s personal account on a timely, consistent basis. The donation payment plan allows donors to fulfill their commitments with ease.

St. Paul School Addition in Concordia, MO

Since its founding in 1840, St. Paul Lutheran Church in Concordia has considered the education of children as one of its most important responsibilities in ministry. A new school addition is currently under construction, with the assistance of an LCEF loan. The two story addition, scheduled for completion in Fall 2008, will house grades K-3, as well as school offices and a first aid room. The second floor will be available for future expansion. LCEF is privileged to partner with congregations such as St. Paul, Concordia who continue to expand ministry - to children and families.

Congregation, LCEF Have History

Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, Acton, Mass., has a new 7,100-square-foot preschool building and newly renovated parish hall and offices. The expansion and renovations are the first major changes to Mt. Calvary’s physical plant in approximately 25 years. But whenever this congregation needed loan funds for repairs or a new organ, it turned to LCEF. Now members of Mount Calvary can better serve their community and seek to walk with others in becoming disciples of Jesus Christ.

Finding a Solution in Your Own Backyard

John and Mary Durkin like to help and educate others. The parents of two young children, John serves as Director of Christian Education (DCE) at St. John Lutheran Church, Indianapolis, Ind., and Mary is a part-time kindergarten teacher at Emmaus Lutheran Church, also in Indianapolis. They were considering debt consolidation options, but the firms they talked to only seemed able to offer a partial resolution.
