Yes, yes its a Wii, fine but is it just me that thinks you would have to be some kind of idiot to buy that game...
Wii's are great at some things a F1 game I think not... I wonder if it'll include KERS on all cars from race 1....lol ooooft
That looks shoddy as ****. It looks awefull, but, maybe with the mario kart wheel is could be "fun". Although them crowds look totally abysmal! The thing is, wii seems to be shovel-ware to girls/grannie/etc. So an F1 game has very little appeal to that market and everyone who plays games properly will sit it out for the PS3/360 version, so I'm not sure the point of this at all. Maybe if it was online multiplayer, maybe online more arcade like mode or something. You could do some good stuff with online updates to your character you choose relevant to the season while its active? like fifa live is it? I think it needs something else other than F1 wii, it'll bomb. LOL! is that the Wii version or the Nintendo 64 version minus 8mb expansion pack That looks terrible, almost N64 in quality. The Wii is capable of much better than that. Looks like a lazy cash-in to me. The Wii version is just a straight port of the PSP version? :? In fairness, it's only the first couple of shots that are the Wii (2,3,4). The last couple are from the PSP version (5,6). Looks all right to me. Might not be photo-realistic or high-def but that's secondary to how it plays and how well they've implemented the physics. I think I'll wait and see what the games reviewers think when it comes out, rather than shooting it down now. Are you blind sir?

Actually has anyone checked that this isn't just another expansion of the lego franchise?
I am usually the person blowing the trumpet of the gameplay over grapics band, but when your IP is based on realism these screenshots are a joke... I havn't enjoyed an F1 game since F1 wgp 2 on the N64 and seeing as this doesn't look much different i'll probs wait for the 360 version.
Saying that, it's not all about the graphics is it?....is it? :shock: Oh dear what happened at Codemasters? They done a great job with Race Driver: Create and Race in 2007 and GRID in 08 both on DS, I was expecting good things but this is awful.
It's sad when F1 World Grand Prix 2 N64, released in 1999 actually looks a bit better.
When you think Codies achieved this in 2006 on Xbox and this in 2003 on PS2 ,it just smacks of lazy deveopment. The difference being is that it would probably look okay on a small PSP screen. The Wii version on a 40" LCD would look worse than 'REVS' on the spectrum. Its ugly! OMG! that does look like a lame duck to me. i'll wait for the 360 version. surely the wii can do better than that? Are you sure thats not the DS version!! I cant see how the Wii is going to deal with the speed of F1 unless the tracks are incredibly bare. Mind you with the millions of Wii's out there with uneducated owners i am sure they will make their money back!! does look like a lazy job to me. Might play well though. Maybe.
think i'll reserve judgement till i've actually seen it in motion.
Hopefully they'll nin this build and make something that does the wii justice though. are you sure they're not DS shots? the resolution certainly looks that low. it'd make no sense to have a teaser trailer that shows nothing released with a load of screen shots. Wii is really showing its age. That's mobile phone quality graphics. Those two last shots must be from PSP version. Sums it all up when you're not sure which are Wii screen shots and which are PSP screenshots. Why bother? The Wii can't cope and it's hordes of casual gamers won't give a shit. It's got Madworld-level sales written all over it.

I hate the Wii but the missus won't let me sell it. I think it's blindingly obvious the first 3 are Wii and last 2 are PSP.
I don't think it should be judged so quickly. Racing games have a history of not looking particularly impressive in screenshots, and much better in motion. I'll wait until we see footage, even though I'm waiting until the 360 release. Fugly... It would be an easy port to iPhone. I don't really care, there's 5 in game shots there and they look terrible. Those shots look awful - I really can't expect that they've shown shots of the game at an early stage, so it's not going to look much better than that.
Wii game visuals should look at least as good as the best we saw on the GameCube, if not more so. Looks Shite!!

Fack off ! total utter shi'te :evil: The high resolution car model of the first shot clearly shows the detail of the models... how low the detail goes on the 360 is the question. I expect the game will look similar to the current selection of driving games.
However, this is a terrible advertisement for the Wii, wish I suppose is aimed at babies and grannies, so it doesn't really effect the majority of us clued up enough to check out websites for the latest details about games. You would like to think that but for the most part this is not happening, from the titles I owned when I had a Wii, to a majority of the new titles I have seen shots from. |
