Tuesday 18-Oct-2005 11:53 AM Nerve Software lending a development hand in recently announced Castle Wolfenstein sequel Nerve Software is taking on a role in development of the next Castle Wolfenstein game and will be responsible for the multiplayer section of the sequel, according to recent internet reports
It's not the first time Nerve has been involved with the Wolfenstein series, as it created Return to Castle Wolfenstein's multiplayer component - which was good enough to cure us of our lunchtime Counter-Strike addiction when it first materialised in demo/test form back in late 2001.
Nerve Software will be joining Raven Software then on the project and going by the former developer's handling of multiplayer in the new Wolfenstein game, we deduce that Raven will be looking after single-player. Clever, eh?

id Software is acting as executive producer on the Castle Wolfenstein sequel, which was announced earlier in the month for PC and Xbox 360. Game details are pretty scant at the moment but it follows similar lines to its predecessors with players dumped into war-torn Germany and battling Nazis, nasty Nazi technological experiments and supernatural horrors.
