More Alex Kidd for Virtual Console

A double-serving of Master System goodness in this week's update
Nintendo has served Virtual Console with two Master System classics this week: Alex Kidd: The Lost Stars, and Secret Command (also known as Rambo: First Blood II in US).

Alex Kidd punches stuff with his giant fist again to "recover the twelve Miracle Balls and restore the stars of the Aries Constellation", while Secret Command is old-school shooting that sees you "play as a lone warrior, armed to the teeth, sent on a top secret commando mission behind enemy lines to liberate your comrades at arms".

Both games cost 500 Nintendo Points (£3.75).

Wow, I can remember Alex Kidd in Miracle Land for Master System II, built in! LOL!

I had a Master System with Alex Kidd built in. For some reason the colour was dodgy. My memories of this game include the motorcycle over everything levels and the "Janken" matches, which seemed to be some sort of wanking competition

alex kidd in miracle world is a classic, id kill to have it on PSN or live marketplace, amazing game, and the janken matches were paper, scissors and stone not wanking matches lol, although thats what we used to say back in the day.... wicked game anyway!!! lost stars was pap!!!!

Just downloaded this and had a quick blast. I'm really shocked at just how bad it is. I really enjoyed Miracle World, but this is a pale shadow.

I don't know whether it's just a case of rose-tinted spectacles, but I seem to remember Alex Kidd in Shinobi World being the best of the series. Hope that finds its way to VC.
