GH Metallica, Rock Band 2 use Lips mics

Compatibility with flashy wireless mics added
Chuck out those clunky wired microphones because Rock Band 2 and Guitar Hero Metallica will be the first music games to receive updated support for Microsoft's considerably flashier Lips mics.

If you've never used them, the Lips mics have multicoloured LEDs all around them that pulse to the beat of the music, built-in motion sensors, and they let you communicate with space aliens. Seriously.

GH: Metalica will get its update soon (the announcement is a tad unspecific), followed by Rock Band 2 this summer.

Wow, I can see it now. Steven Spielberg announces the long awaited sequel to E.T. called 'Son of E.T.' where E.T's offspring somehow find themselves in a similar scenario to their dad except it's not 1982 and Drew Barrymore is now 34 with a whole host of dodgy films to her name (the best being a small part in Wayne’s World 2 as Bjergen Kjergen from Knuergen, near the Bjoergen Fjords) anyway back to the plot. Due to all this modern technology instead of a cack old 'Speak & Spell' wired to an umbrella, they just fire up a 360 pick up the ol LIPS mics and say, 'Hey dad you fancy swinging by earth, California state we're starting to go all grey and week like Bill Gates' The spaceship comes down... THE END! Simples!

...unless the twist is that the XBOX never fires up because it has the RRoD, which they mistake to be a glowing red heart like their own so they wrap it in a blanket to make sure it never goes green again, and infect all 360's on earth with this sad curse of love, thus sealing their own doom and creating misery for us gamers. (Unless you own a PS3 or Wii instead)
