TGS: First in-game Ninja Blade shots

Microsoft and From Software's Gaiden-alike in the flesh
Here are the first in-game shots of Microsoft and Tenchu boys From Software's Ninja Blade.

The game was first unveiled earlier this year with a CGI trailer, and now that we've got to have a proper in-game look at it at TGS, it looks even more shockingly similar to Ninja Gaiden. Not that that's a bad thing, really.

It's set in Tokyo, featuring real landmarks from the city including Shinjuku Station. Cut-scenes and gameplay are said to merge seamlessly, with Lost Planet designer Keiji Nakoka handling the main mechanics.

It's vaguely dated for 2009.

More like Devil May Cry would be better.. no-one wants Tenchu!!

Tenchu games on the PS1 were great!
It's only recently that the game has turned a bit shitty!

Looks very nice from the stills, but they don't really tell me much about how the game works. I'd need to see it motion before I can form any kind of opinion. If it's Ninja Gaiden style combat they're going for then this could be a corker if they pull it off right.

Tenchu I wouldn't touch with a ten-foot barge pole after playing Wrath of Heaven on the PS2 many years ago. It would take a complete overhaul of the game mechanics (change it completely) to get me to even glimpse at another one of them!

Agreed. The Ps1 games were good fun, but the brand is NOW synonymous with pants!!

To all the nay-sayers of the Tenchu series, lets give this a chance. I had the first 2 Tenchu games on playstation & they were brilliant fun. The 3rd onwards however have been absolute w*nk.
Lets hope they get back to the winning formula.

If that´s not CGI (Probably not gameplay), I would like to see it moving as well...
Probably CGI Just like the intro to Fable II.
