Nintendo now focusing on more popular colours Nintendo has confirmed to CVG that it has "currently ceased" supply of the white and silver DS Lites to retailers.... read more
Does that make my white DS Lite a collector's item? Wonder if they're hoping Wii owners might plump for the more expensive DSi, if they want the handheld's colour to match the larger console.
They should be releasing diffretn coloured Wii's, I would of loved a shiny black one, the white one looks out of place in my entertainment set up. _________________ I'm better than all of you. Point. Blank. Period.

Does that make my white DS Lite a collector's item?
Seeing as the DS has sold a stupid ammount of units, (of which a fair few million must be white as it's the only colour I ever see people using), I doubt it!
The white one was always the most tasteful of the colours, closely followed by the soapy blue one if you ask me. The way I read this though, is that they've stemmed supply to retailers. Perhaps they will be redistributed as surplus retail stocks dwindle?
It seems odd that the white one should be discontinued entirely, especially for customers who want a Lite to match their Wii. Nintendo's entire marketing ethos this generation seems to be centred around whites and greys, after all. _________________ Currently playing:
