Final Fantasy IV sequel for Wii

FFIV: The After Years rated by US classification body
Final Fantasy IV: The After Years will seemingly be released for Wii, most likely through the console's downloadable game service WiiWare.

The title was originally revealed in late 2007 - for Japanese mobile phones. So while good things come first to those with Japanese phones, they also come to others eventually.

The Wii edition of the title, which is a sequel to 1991 Super NES classic Final Fantasy IV, was outed by the US Entertainment Software Ratings Board, which has classified the game E for Everyone despite its inclusion an alcohol reference and mild fantasy violence.

"This is a 2D role-playing game in which players embark on an adventure involving magical crystals and a mysterious kingdom," reads the game's listing.

"Players traverse across a field map or through dungeons and can enter into turn-based battles along the way. Players use a menu screen to select attacks or magic spells against tiny enemies (e.g., leopards, birds, knights, fish monsters, etc.) that blink and disappear when defeated. An item called "Bacchus Wine" is occasionally used to defeat enemies in battle."

Sounds right to us.

Hell Yeah. Final Fantasy IV is my personal favourite and any kind of sequel is fine by me.

Final Fantasy IV was the first one i ever played and although it will always be a a favorite for that reason, it was still one of the best FF games square made. Can't wait. :)

I said this on N4G but I want this for the DSi as well because it would probably work.

FFIV DS was the first FF game I ever played and I loved every second of it. I'll be getting this game for sure.

funny enough, I started playing FFIV Advance on my DS today ( the original 2d one not the 3d remake )

The exclusion of the GBA port for the DSI is annoying and if my DS breaks, I'll be getting another Lite.

This game doesn't need a sequal, it's perfect as it is.
