Rock Band 2 dated for Wii, PS3, PS2

Instrument bundles get new reduced price points too
Rock Band 2's finally been dated for PS3, PS2 and Wii, having been available on 360 since late last year.

The PlayStation versions of the title will launch on March 27, but Wii users will have to wait until April 24.

The standalone game will set you back £49.99 on PS3, £29.99 on PS2 and £39.99 on Wii.

Effective immediately, Rock Band instrument peripherals have also been given reduced price points, with standalone guitars retailing at £39.99, standalone drums at £49.99 and an 'Instrument Edition' featuring drums, guitar and microphone at £89.99.

You'll also be able to purchase the Rock Band Instrument Edition and game as a package, for £119.99 for the PS3 and 360 and for £109.99 for Wii and PS2.

About time.

Great news for all those people with PS3/PS2/Wii. But I'm still waiting to the improved RB2 instruments to be released over here!

does anyone know if RB2 for ps3 when it comes out will work with GH world tour instruments? hell if im buying anymore drums.

Good news for guys without a 360 but to a certain extent if you already have rockband. on the PS3 and 360 at least whats the point. The Dlc works on both and gameplaywise they're practically identical. If you don't like the tracklist for rockband 2 i'd be tempted to say don't bother.

Instrumentwise though i'd say get the guitar and the mike but leave the drums be and get the guitar hero ones.

There was a patch released in America for the ps3 that allowed all gh instruments to be compatible. So you just have to hope they release it here.

And thank God there's finally a release date. But 27th March!?
Oh well, beats waiting to April.

The GH instruments work with Rockband 1 on the 360, so i don't see why they shouldn't work with 2.

Can't say about the PS3 though. heard they don't work on the wii version though.

I have world tour on the ps3 and all guitar works fine for both bass and lead parts of Rock Band 1, but the drums didn work, thy jus come up as mic#2 even wen the mic is hooked up
hope they fix for RB2

to be honest, April is just too far, why couldn't they just release it with the Playstation ones...

Oh well, at least by now the DLC is catched up with 360 when it's launched. Btw, Hysteria is on DLC in RB2 Wii, what about europe eh? :?
