Hearts of Irons III beta begins

Enrolment for RTS testing open...
Beta test enrolment has begun for stat-heavy RTS sequel Hearts of Irons III.

Anyone interested in trying the new game can sign up before Thursday, March 5 when the beta will kick off, says developer Paradox.

Interestingly, it says it's also looking for "a small number of historical researchers to assist the development team in improving the databases," of which we're sure many read CVG.

Johan Andersson, lead developer said: "We require keen, enthusiastic gamers who are willing to give up a few hours a week to play a Beta version of the game and to feedback to us what they think. We want people to play it and tell us what they see. We want them to try and break the game in order for us to fix it and to test out our new advanced AI system to make the computer opponent better."

Hearts of Iron II gave me RSI but I still love it. War and tech tree research, what more can you ask for from a game?
