Star Trek Online: 4 new shots

Beam us up?
The now Atari-owned MMO dev, Cryptic, has released four new Star Trek Online screenshots - and one of them isn't of a spaceship and/or planet.

The MMO is based around The Klingons and The Federation, with players choosing to be a captain of either a Federation ship or a Klingon Bird of Prey.

It's due out on PC sometime next year.

Promising Screenies... wonder is it's guild system is basicly the ship your on and you drag your guild around onboard your own ship as crew :)

You'll have ppl gaggin to get onto the elite guilds ship to serve on it for example " Ooo i'd love to serve on the (place ship name here)" lol actualy sounds rather cool!

Damn this game is going to be epic, i cannot wait!!

I love the idea that the ship is basically the guild hub and everyone who serves onboard is a guildmember.

Afraid to tell you guys but thats not how it works

basicly you have your ship & your bridge crew the bridge crew are created by you and outfitted by you and empty party slots can be filled by your crew while on away missions

check the actual site for better info one of their Cryptic Q&A's says it

thats still awesome though Wolfe!
my last post was only a hopeful vision of what it might have been like so don't hold me to that idea ukdruid :)
but you imagin what it would be like with guild run ships :D that be to cool!

Thats the beauty of mmo's, things can change and be improved upon in the future with addons/patches :)

I think the idea of guild run ships is to nice an idea to overlook, i can understand having npc's to fill in crew spots from the time of release, but as the player population grows (which i hope it does) they could look it over and implement it.

I’m so glad Atari/ Cryptic took this over, when I heard it was canned I was gutted. Just gonna have to start saving for a new pc that will run it :D
