New Leisure Suit Larry detailed

Larry goes to Hollywood
Codemasters has picked up publishing duties for the new Leisure Suit Larry game, subtitled Box Office Bust. Here are the screens.

In Box Office Bust you play as the original Larry's nephew, Larry Lovage, who must to investigate to find the mole in his movie studio that's leaking film ideas to a competing studio.

The game promises to pack a huge open world with a bunch of "hilarious" mini games (more hilarious than the sperm swimming mini game in Magna Cum Laude, we hope), a new director's cut mode that lets you make your own movies, and gameplay that spoofs classic films, like Bytanic, Beefcake Mountain and Horror Coffin.

The game's currently down for a spring release on PC, 360 and PS3, and new shots are on the official site.

The annoying mini games were the thing (along with the different style of course) that made Magna Cum Laude horrible compared to LSL7.

Fail inbound.

I enjoyed all the original leisure suit larry's, but I seem to be the only person who liked magna cum laude, I shall keep an eye on this one, sounds ok.

Imagines Al Lowe facepalming everytime a LSL game gets released now.

Sounds like it would have been more suited to the Wii. I'm sure there's a few Wii remote actions that would work well in a game like this *thinks of the shaking action used to re-charge your light sword in No More Heroes*
