First shots of Fallout 3's Pitt

New DLC due next month
Bethesda's just released the first shots of Fallout 3's new visually-pleasing DLC pack, The Pitt.

The Pitt takes place in Pittsburgh's steel-making industrial district, described as a "stunning dystopia that's unlike any other area in Fallout 3's world".

Side quests and unique items are promised, including the fearsome-looking Auto Axe which is pictured here.

And if that tickles your fancy don't forget to read our exclusive interview with the game's producer, Jeff Gardiner, right here.

Would love to play it as Fallout 3 is one of the best games ever :!: but I hate  Games for Windows Live  and I'm not giving them a penny.

Microsoft paid Bethesda to release DLC on PC and Xbox only. Pretty pathetic, and unfortunate

Are you being serious - no dlc for the ps3 fallout 3? Competition and USPs are fair enough but this is pathetic if its true about MS paying them off to do it for their platforms exclusively - even more so on a Publishers part. Utter disregard for their customer base.

It was announced a very long time ago that Fallout 3 DLC wouldn't be coming to PS3. What is interesting, though, is how bad the PS3 version is compared to the 360 one, especially considering that the PS3 version of Oblivion was rather good (and actually had marginally less pop-up than the 360 version).

Me thinks money may have changed hands to arrange that, too. Boo on the likes of Bethesda, Rockstar and the like, for releasing exclusive 360 & PC DLC, and making inferior versions of their games for other formats (yes, PS3 GTA4 is worse than the 360 version, since the latter is far smoother in both looks and motion).

in the end no one cares about the gamers we are just puppets that pay there bills everything should be for everyone but everyone has a price if i made games i would want everyone to play it cuz in my mind i dont think i would be saying lets make it just for 360 or ps3 i would want everyone to share and enjoy what i made not sell out but hey thats the world today POWER GREED LIES AND MONEY

While I will agree that it's disgusting that the DLC is exclusive to one or the other platform (and this is by no means the only game guilty of it - Mirrors Edge is getting exclusive PS3 content as I understand it) this statement is ridiculous. To suggest that they deliberately 'miscoded' the PS3 version Fallout just so it was inferior? Are you serious?

boo ****ing hoo. Its a business people and any company will do what it can to get an edge on the competition. Since platform exclusives are becoming much less they need to find other ways to get the edge.

Exclusive dlc is going to become more prevelant as things progress.

The 360 and PC are more likely to get more though because they aren't such a pig to programme for and creating dlc for them will be cheaper and easier than the PS3.

Although i have heard that resi 5 is getting exclusive content for the ps3 it works both ways.

Prevelant it may be, but it doesn't change the fact that it's a really sh*t state of affairs. Why penalise people because they don't happen to have the developers favoured console? All it does is pee off fans of the games. If I was a PS3 owner I would be super p*ssed about this not coming to the 360 (and don't get me started on Lost & Damned...), and likewise I will be p*ssed if Resi 5 gets exclusive PS3 content.

Downloadable content for all! Not like we don't all pay for it (on consoles)...

I bought this game ages ago and I still haven't gone on the the main story yet. Only played it a couple of times. I really need to get working on this so I can get the DLC sorted too. Methinks I am missing out bigtime!

the amount of time it would take to download a game for the ps3 scares me lool

I'm getting sick to death of M$ now, I'm running out of words to throw at them. It's universally known that Micro$oft are hated, and it seems they're desperate to appeal to anyone and everyone just to claim to be better than the competition. It's sickening.
