Killzone content bound for LittleBigPlanet

Sev and Helghast Sackboys on the way
Sony has Killzone 2-themed DLC for LittleBigPlanet in the pipeline, if new pictures on the PS Blog's Flickr page are anything to go by (which they really are).

The official blog uses Flickr to upload pictures into its updates. Images of new Sackboys have been spotted on the account, including a Helghast costume, and a suit based on Sev from PS3's flagship shooter.

Weirdly, none of these images appeared in the blog's weekly 'Sack it to me' LBP update today, for whatever reason, but the images would seem to confirm the surprises to come.

We've asked Sony for confirmation, but in the meantime check out the new Sackboys on this page.

tbh i was expecting to be overrun with killzone 2 reports this week what with the game finally arriving (mines popped through the door this morning, thank you Play.com). seems a bit sparse when compared to gears 2's launch.
Posted by Mark240473
^^^ Play.com just delivered my copy as well. Can't fault 'em.

Had a quick bash at dinner but only managed to get past the intro before having to come back to work. Great intro though!

How I wish I was Hiro......

*squints eyes*

Looks like you will soon be able to upload YouTube clips into you LBP levels as well.

^^^ yeah they've never let me down unlike some other companies, cough cough amazon. shall be firing up the PS3 as soon as i get home and hopefully drooling over what has been described as a graphical tour de force. and tbh the xbox needs a rest after going SF4 crazy since last thursday. hopefully this will be the game to pull me away from doing double fireballs in my sleep.

Is it just me or does that picture look just like a Covenant Grunt?

I hear that imitation it the sincerest form of flattery...
Posted by Mark240473
Nah, there'd be more pink in it.
Posted by voodoo341

now that you mention it yea. A sort of S&M Covenant Grunt!
Posted by Stewy
Ha it does look like a Covenant Grunt aswell.
The second pic reminds me of Mr. T though. lol

what you talking about fool :?
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
This is a great idea but I don't know how Sony avoids complaints of milking. I mean come on if Microsoft or Nintendo used the popularity of other games like this they'd be criticised all over the place.
Posted by voodoo341
Nintendo never milked a franchise did it?
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
I never said they didn't. I asked how come Sony has escaped such critcism?
Posted by voodoo341
Never heard Nintendo getting much critcism for that. Maybe you should try backing up a few of your claims next time.
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
Look at pretty all the Nintendo articles and comments from people on this site, in fact you just proved they get criticised for it. There's plenty of criticism about how Nintendo just keep making the same games over and over and not doing any hardcore titles(because people refuse to believe that Nintendo does in fact make new IPs).

show some then fanboy
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
Here you go, just two for now, I'm busy for the moment:

Not one of those links talks about Nintendo milking anything. They're actually praised in the stories. Unless of course you're on about some of comments which lets face it carry just about as much credibility as yours.
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
Well then your comment doesn't mean anything so you may as well shut up now.

And I just proved you wrong, they do get criticised.
Posted by voodoo341
  awwwwwww what a muppet you are
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
But you're the one who can't take any possible criticism against your bloody beloved Sony even though the criticism isn't even against Sony itself! and then you call me a fanboy, I prove you wrong and you're response is basically "nuh-uh!". So you're the muppet here.
Posted by voodoo341
My my you're getting touchy now fanboy. Maybe you should compose another poorly written essay that's embarrassing to read. You haven't shown a single thing and you're that thick you can't even see that.

Did you play the MGS content for LBP?
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
You're the one that resorted to insults because you were proven wrong and you're doing it again and it's pretty obvious you're a Sony fanboy as you defend everything about them even if someone merely mentions them, plus you had a Sackboy/Killzone avatar.
Posted by voodoo341
   you are an idiot fanboy, that's not an insult it's a fact. You made a claim and couldn't prove it, hard luck. Guys like you are the reason why I wouldn't touch the Wii with a barge pole.
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
Except I provided evidence that Nintendo gets critised for milking. You ignored it.
Posted by voodoo341
Did you actually even read those links? Copy and paste the section that even hints that.
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
You said you saw it in the comments yourself. Obviously people criticise Nintendo for milking, when you asked facetiously if Nintendo had ever milked a franchise you were criticising them!
Posted by voodoo341
 what a fanboy!

Does it say anywhere in the actual article that Nintendo were milking it?
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
How does that make me a Fanboy and no it doesn't but it proves my point that they get criticised. And if you feel the need for an article criticising it, here you go.

http://www.computerandvideogames.com/article.php?id=163904

Slightly different what they're on about but much of it is that they don't change and they release more or less the same game.
Posted by voodoo341
Either English isn't your first language or the term 'milking it' is completely lost on you. How does an article talking about a game changing direction translate to Nintendo milking it?
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
Well if you didn't notice quite a bit of that article is about how they need to change because they've just kept it the same for all the years(it's a valid criticism). Or did you totally miss that?
Posted by voodoo341
Thats not milking it you idiot that's evolving a game. You're a bit sensitive there to Wii stories, wonder why?
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
I'm not on about changing it, I'm pointing out that the article says that having the game be the same for twenty years is bad.

Umm I'm proving that people criticise Nintendo for "milking it", of course articles about the Wii will be a main source.

Wow for hypocrisy by the way, you're a bit sensitive there to Playstation stories, wonder why?
Posted by voodoo341
What an original reply. You don't even know what you're trying to prove.
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
I'm proving that people criticise Nintendo for "milking" franchises, which I have suitably done with three examples of such.

The reason the last thing I said is near identical to what you said is to highlight the hypocrisy but you obviously somehow missed that, like how you missed the evidence I gave. :?

EDIT: I'm off anyway, so don't expect a reply for about another seven hours.
Posted by voodoo341
The only thing you've shown is that you're a fanboy. fact!
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
Where's your evidence, may be you should back up those claims./sarcasm

Seriously have you got nothing else to argue? Will you just not admit I proved you wrong?

Anyway back to my original point, perhaps although this is a form of milking it doesn't matter because the main point is it's providing resources and actually improving a game. May be, I don't know how to explain it now. :?
Posted by voodoo341
Read back through your posts, clear evidence. At least you admit you don't know what you're talking about.
Posted by nash121
lol seriously every popular game ever made (maybe a few that haven't...) have been milked!
Just the new DLC compared to sequels that has hit ps3 and xbox is bit more in you face milking! lol

Anyway nothing wrong with milking if it adds something more to a game, I loved that I finished little big planet wanted some more professional made levels and along came the Metal gear pack.

They all want your money its just how they choose to get it!

Nice avatar, it matches your personality perfectly...

Thanks for a civil reply, I'm in agreement with you, I think criticism should be thrown at all three console makers a lot of other companies(ie. Sega, Square Enix, EA). Not all "milking" is bad but if we're criticising some for it we should criticise everyone who does it.

I think it's a great idea too, I said that first of all. I wasn't criticising Sony because a) it's good for the fans and b) it's good business. I was criticising the perception of them.

@Voodoo: All three links I provided contain examples of Nintendo being criticised for milking, two by the public and one by a more objective games journalist(even though the criticism isn't as venomous and it is valid in the third article).
Posted by voodoo341
If you haven't the balls to make a comment when the conversation is still relevant try not making a little snide one (and one you bored us with before) when you think the thread is dead. You just come across as a bigger troll than SpoonyRedMage.
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
You do realise you insulted two people there and you're calling us trolls, sure we've insulted you but you seem to be quite a hypocrite. But I think we should really stop now because we've both probably broke the rules here.
Posted by voodoo341
I think you need to look up the rules.
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
I did and flaming is against the rules, which means the insults that were thrown about did break the rules.
Posted by voodoo341
You're about 10 years old right?
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
No, I just have common decency and the capacity admit when I'm in the wrong. You seem to be lacking both.
Posted by voodoo341
You're just a little baby
Posted by SpoonyRedMage
Wow, trying to insult and belittle me, really shows how civil you are.
Posted by milky_joe
It's alright, everybody knows what voodoo is like, it's just fun winding him up about it.

There will now be some comment that totally avoids the point, because that's what he does. He's quite happy to throw out question after question, but when you ask him something directly that you know would prove him wrong, you won't ever get a response, just more insults.

And heaven forbid you mention his ever so slight Sony favouring... that's when he starts calling people xbots... even those who do not own an Xbox and have no desire to do so...

Of course, he will never admit to this, because in voodoo's world, he is never wrong. Unfortunately this is real life, and in real life, people are fallible...
