CV reveals Aliens RPG is canned

Ex- Obsidian designer posts the news we didn't want to hear...
While Sega has yet to officially confirm the status of its Aliens RPG, a designer that used to work on the project has said it was canned.

David Kondor's online CV states he was "Designer for canceled third-person action Aliens RPG (Xbox 360, PS3, & PC)".

Aside from the original announcement Sega never really gave out much more on the project. Kondor's CV pretty much wraps the case up but we've contacted Sega for comment. You know, just in case...

Earlier this month Sega revealed it would publish a brand new Alien vs. Predator game in collaboration with Twentieth Century Fox. hit the link above for more on that.

god damn you, god damn you all to hell, you blew it up, god damn you, you blew it up.
sorry was having a Charlton Heston moment there. still piss poor news. lets just hope colonial marines and AvP still see the light of day

Why do i get the feeling that by the time i`ve posted this i`ll be 5th or something

anyway ,on topic it`s bad news but i`m not 100% if an aliens rpg would have worked

What has happened to Colonial Marines. Information is suprising quiet for a game that my pre-order at game has said has changed to 27 March. I don't believe that for a second. I hope it doesn't take Gearbox 57 years to finish it.

Wow, I hope you haven't just landed that guy in a world of hurt.

The dissapointment we all feel at this 'news' is a consequence of looking forward to games that are nothing but glints in developers eyes.

So the RPG has gone, Colonial Marines is in limbo, so that leaves another entry in the AvP franchise as our only Aliens universe fix. :(

Crying shame...

Can AvP (which won't be a patch on the first two anyway) and fund the RPG. Simple.

Oh wait its SEGA.

I would suggest forgetting Colonial Marines aswell untill we see some actual footage/ demos.

They've had that rolling since Alien Ressurection, its just not happening anytime soon.

Damnit. Obsidian are one of the only RPG developers who I've still any faith in. Bad to see something like this happen to them; even worse to see another Josh Sawyer project canned (he was the lead on BI's Fallout3 and Baldur's Gate 3).
