Be cool if they made the LEDs in the power button work backwards. So it shines red when its working normally then turns green if it breaks.
Not likely to happen now though. should have the new chips that are highly unlikely to RROD. Great deal IMO.
I got the limited Halo 3 console and it only came with a green headet and a 20gb HDD. no Halo either.
Still looks the mutts nuttsd and hasn't broken down once in the year and a bit since i bought it.touchwood.
Maybe the limited eds are made of tougher stuff. Yeesh!

It looks awful! Well, I guess that's one for the Resi fans...I'd have to say, it's not as bad looking as I was expecting - the control pad is quite nice.
Still, I'm more than happy with my black Elite - it goes with all my other hardware.

/me runs schoolboy error. He insulted one of the mods and got banned! What I want to know is, why does Resident Evil 5 get a limited edition console associated with it? There are far more prestigious games out that could have sold bundles easily, Gears 2 or SF IV.
After the demo, I don't hold Resi 5 as that important a title any more. Seamen beige? I'm not a doctor (though I do live with one ;)), but I'm fairly sure you have a problem is you are producing beige love gravy...
As for the console, mu gut reaction was 'it's awful', but actually, it's not *that* bad.
However, nothing is as cool as the chainsaw controller that came with limited edition of Resi 4 on the cube. That was awesome. good point. A 360 with SF IV skin akin to the front cover of the game or the fightstick with all the characters on. 2 pads and a copy of the game with HD remix preloaded would fly off the shelves.
In responce to the guy saying the Halo consoles ugly. Yeah maybe it is a little but it seems to be retaining its value better than a standard 360 premium. I think it looks quite nice. Same here. I like the nice, dark red colour! I'd have bought one of those easily if that was the case. Asides from sticks being very tough to get hold off, it would be more likely game to sell the consoles. I think it's to celebrate the "Resident Evil" franchise coming to the Xbox platforms.

What a fashion statement. Is it just me, or do these Special, or Limited, or whatever you want to call them, consoles for new big games abit pants? I mean, instead of a special colour, why don't they put some artwork of the game on it instead.
Similar to the Resident Evil 5 faceplates you can currently get for the 360 and PS3. They could do the same with the PS3 aswell, just put some lovely swish artwork on the outer shell. Then, it'll look nice and... swish! AHHHHHH The mighty X-box, smeared with the blood of it's PS3 victims! Once you've got you Blood red 360 get yourself the "Crime Scene" skin to complement it, perfect... 8)

they cant even use there own games to market it! the first xbox i got had a pro evo box package. also not theirs.
not to mention the whole GTA4 whoring. desperados! Why should first party games only receive the treatment? I'm sure Capcom are more than happy to have it packaged together for a start...
Microsoft probably have these lined up for nigh on every MASSIVE selling game to come out - hence the Halo 3 one, the GTAIV one. Say what? If thats the Xbox's second exclusive add-on, then sign me up! :D Will this definitely be the Jasper model do you think? I believe so. Its definitely the Jasper in this one but christ that casing is butt ugly :shock: Looks gay and fairly boring... :roll: I'm definitely going to get one of these. Purely because I have been waiting to get a 360 and this seems like the ideal opportunity. It doesn't look great from the pictures but it doesn't look terrible either. It's a real shame they don't be a bit more creative with these cases and add some logos or something. Yeah new PS3 owners are getting some pretty good choices in cases, well over in Japan anyway, I really like the look of the Final Fantasy Cloud/Wolf design they have going on. You clearly must be colour blind, West Ham are famous for Claret (blood red) and sky blue. :roll: best special edition i ever saw was the japan only yakuza 3 ps3 it is real nice @ BlackMantis: tam/crimbo/daily/thrush made a comment stating that everyone who doesn't buy Blu-Ray is a "tight tramp." However, I did say it purely as a slight towards you ;) Yes terrible not even using thier own games. If i remember rightly the PS3 has also come bundled with GTA IV and Call of Duty World at War.

I think you'll find that is blood red if slightly lighter, I know you believe all the shit you see in films with fake blood (which is nearly always way too light) and while we're on it my avatar clearly has no purple in it at all! quite frankly that tells us that the third party developers have more faith in the 360 to shift their units than the PS3. Yeah, did you ever see the Japanese limited edition Dreamcasts? They were cool looking consoles. They released 2 for Resident Evil Code Veronica - a Transparent blood red one, and a transparent black/purple one. They looked much better than the Xbox.
They were extremely limited, and they were individually numbered. 1800 of the red were released and only 200 of the dark purple. I managed to get hold of the red one (along with numerous other lim ed Dreamcasts) but was never able to get hold of the other. Not that i wouldve been able to afford it, im pretty sure they went for around a grand. Yeah I do remember those and they looked a lot better. Actually my SNES is part black and that looks pretty cool as well.
It's just not very imaginative when you bring out limited edition consoles and just make the whole case one different colour. I know a couple of other people already mentioned that an umbrella corp logo or something similar might have been nice. »»»
I can only assume my monitor is *whistles* then... It does not look red at all from where I'm sat - the text in my signature red, for sure (though not blood red, granted).
That aside, it was only a joke. |
