Last rumour i heard about a resi 2 remake was that it was going to be 4s controls/graphics on the wii.
Would make sense as they have rereleased 0 and the resi remake on it already.
However what you just said sounds awesome too. The way I read it, "new title" means "new IP" so it won't be DR2 or LP2. And yes, DR2 has already been announced so it wouldn't be that anyway.

There is a Lost Planet movie coming at some point so a game likey. I wish! Don't you just love these anouncements of anouncements. :) It's getting a bit stupid now. The one that really got on my nerves was the Alien v Predator one last week. Not even one piece of artwork!
