Amy Winehouse was treated in hospital this weekend after reportedly collapsing in a “shaking mess.”

She was admitted to hospital in St. Lucia on Saturday. Her spokesperson has said Wino ran out of a prescribed drug used to combat withdrawal from crack and heroine.

Newspapers have also claimed that Amy was drinking heavily at the time of the collapse.

Gossip website TMZ.com says she was released from hospital on Sunday after a day of treatment.

Amy has now been in the Caribbean for over a month and has yet to properly start work on the follow up to her excellent Back To Black album.

  Amy needs all the love and support of her many fans and those close to her right now. Your article title is in poor taste and reflects poorly on you as a 'writer'. TMZ is not exactly the most credible source for any type of print worthy facts. I personally wish Amy a quick and full recovery and look forward to her future work. It's simply cruel and distasteful to try to tear down someone who is experiencing a difficult period in life. See if you can't raise the bar and show some compassion in the future.
