Lily Allen On The Streets

lily allen, the streets, boring, it's not me it's you,

EXCLUSIVE | Speaking to MTV News she calls Mike Skinner boring and now he's hit back…

Lily Allen has said The Streets' album about being rich and famous- The Hardest Way To Make An Easy Living- is boring.

Talking to MTV News in the US she told us: “There's a guy called Mike Skinner- The Streets- and he did a record that basically talked about how awful it was to be rich and famous, and I found that really boring."

In response Mike got typing on Twitter and interestingly wrote: "I'm glad Lily Allen thinks my music is boring. At least she's not stalking me anymore."

Explaining why she went in a different direction Lily said. "It would be easy [for me] to do it because it's something I feel, but I'm always aware when I'm writing songs that other people have got to be able to relate to them.

She added: “There aren't that many famous people in the world, and there definitely aren't that many famous people who are going to buy my record."

And her plan not to moan about being in the spotlight has paid off with It’s Not Me, It’s You going straight to number one yesterday.

When MTV News asked about her life as a celebrity Allen gave a typically forthright answer.

"I have no control over most of it. But, to be honest, I Google myself. But I do it to see if people are writing bullsh--, so I can sue them. I Google myself to send stuff to my lawyers."
